Gentlemen, a rudimentary, yet effective, DJ tool:

Do cardio.

Cardio removes subcutaneous water; that is, water affixed between the skin and muscle. Removing subcutaneous water effects healthier, younger, and more vibrant skin, as well as augments muscularity/vascularity and blood flow.

How did I stumble upon this sageness you ask?

On weeks that I have committed at least six, 5 mph/25-minute cardio sessions:

1. I am approached by hot women 2-3+ times every night that I am out, with many glares throughout the day.
2. I appear 8-10 years younger.

On weeks with no cardio:

1. I’m not approached at all, with few glares throughout the day.
2. I appear my age.

That's right; a 3-4 lb. loss of subcutaneous water weight will make you cry "Hallelujah"!

Granted, I hold a muscular physique with years of training, engendering greater water retention; thus, water shedding may effect a more compelling upshot, but I believe this diuretic approach—without compromising your health with diuretics--would prove effective for most builds.

Try it … and increase the pool of receptive women for your picking. Enjoy.

what i say to all who ask me how to work out (mostly for abs) is:

everybody has the muscles, you just have to strip the fat layer for them to show.

i still have to get rid of around 10kg for me to look sexy fit, but i already got rid of 20kg already with my diet and workout (no eating past 16:00, and hitting the ellipticals 4 times a week for 1 hr each - mainatining 140-180 heart bpm)

so yeah, cardio is a must.

I lift 3-5 nights a week, but do almost no cardio. I am wondering if this is a mistake. I have been trying to gain mass (i started at 6'4" and 175, up to 185-190 now). Maybe I need to mix some cardio in there.

Well I'm here to tell you there is such a magic wand. Something that will make you almost completely irresistible to any woman you "point it" at. Something guaranteed to fill your life with love, romance, and excitement.

No doubt cardio helps in the sack. My buddy who is a dr told me that how long you can fvck has a direct correlation to how long you can run without stopping.

I like to add in High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) once per week. It's basically doing sprints and I do it on the elliptical. I start with 30 seconds on the 30 seconds off then add 10 seconds to the off period until I get to 30 on 60 off then stay there. I go a total of 25 minutes. Talk about an a$$ kicker....

Scaramouche: For me, a light jog on the treadmill 4.5-5 mph for 25 minutes will do the trick, 5-6 times a week. You might begin with 5 min jogging followed by 5 min walking, and slowly increase jogging time as your body habituates.

Include:
1. 3-5 grams/daily of fish oil to lubricate the joints; a must with lots of cardio.
2. One gallon of water daily to remain hydrated. Notwithstanding, cardio will eliminate the subcutaneous water irrespective of your water intake.

CrimsonPanther: Yes, abs appear fully at the 10-12% bf level. Even pro-bodybuilders at 4-5% competition bf need to shed subcutaneous water, else lose ab striations and vascularity.

Tictac and Motu: Cardio most definitely improved my physical endurance; which accommodates my 12 hour+ work days. Unfortunately, I’m still the 2-min man, hehe.

MtnMan: If you’re building muscle mass, limit cardio to 1-2 sessions weekly, as cardio, in overindulgence, has catabolic properties.

Here’s an alternative for subcutaneous water loss without diuretics. This protocol is used by most bodybuilders/models 5-7 days before competition/photo shoot day:

Carbohydrate Depleting and Loading

Assuming you want to appear at your best Saturday/Sunday:

Mon
• Take 4-5 grams of sodium;
• Eliminate all, or take under 50 grams of, carbs;
• Increase protein to at least 1.5 grams of lean body weight; and
• Drink one gallon of water

Tues and Wed: Repeat

Thur: Repeat, except reduce sodium to 2 grams.

Fri
• Eliminate all sodium
• Take 200 grams of carbs;
• Decrease protein to at least 3/4 gram of lean body weight; and
• Drink ½ gallon of water

Sat and Sun (SHOWTIME)
• Eliminate all sodium;
• Take 400 grams of carbs each day;
• Decrease protein to at least 1/2 gram of lean body weight; and
• Drink 1/4 gallon of water

The logic is to trigger ketosis Mon through Thurs to eliminate all glycogen stores. Note during this period, you will appear “flat.” Fri-Sun as you carb load, your body, now glycogen depleted, will readily convert all carbs to glycogen and shove them into, thus filling out, your muscle bellies. The glycogen will grab all subcutaneous water stores, as water intake is suppressed at this stage. You begin with high sodium to train the body to eliminate sodium reserves, and when the weekend approaches as you eliminate your sodium intake, your body—still trained to eliminate sodium reserves—will be tricked into shedding remaining sodium, lending to a greater diuretic effect.

Apprenticedj: Absolutely. Cardio elevates serotonin/dopamine levels enabling you to operate at a higher, more vibrant, energy level/frequency.

Funny that you post this. I've noticed an increase in stamina in the last two months and it's the two months that I've done the most rowing/hill sprints/elliptical/jogging and kettlebell-cardio work.

It's gotten to the point where I am actually asked, "How do you hold out so long?"

Even with new sex, which is usually kind of awkward and a little quicker sometimes. When I'm in my "peak" physical state, I seem to be in my peak sexual state as well. It also helps the mental aspect of it all as well.

Guru:

Do you find you lose weight when doing cardio more than 2-3x a week? I usually do a strenuous 8-12 mile day hike at altitude once a week, stairmaster for 30 mins once a week, and jog a 5k once a week.

I've gone from 220 to 210 without any dramatic change in diet. I LOOK leaner, FEEL great, but certainly don't feel as 'big'. Sometimes I get the "manorexia" panic when I strart to drop weight, having tried to gain mass for so long. It was fun being the 240-lb big guy who could lift a house, but it never did me any favors in the women dept.

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.

Also regarding sex stamina, I think it's overrated, lol.

Who the hell wants to pound away on a girl for freaking 30,40,60 minutes??? That sounds like working out to me. Plus, when you are going that hard blood is naturally diverted to where it is needed most---muscle tissue, not your manhood.

True. Friends brag about screwing for hours and I can't imagine a greater waste of time or annoyance. If I've done my job right, she comes in under three minutes and then I'll go for ten minutes or so more, but if I haven't come by then, well there's always next time, which may be the next hour or the next day, not out of being worn out but boredom. Have never understood the bedroom marathon mentality, but different strokes for different folks. Also think lots of my friends are severely challenged in the "internal clock" department and they think they are f-ing far longer than they really are.

Agree with all the good advice in the thread about keeping in good shape.

The bedroom marathon mentality is something that goes around in your early 20's. I've actually been told by women that I last too long at around 15-20 minutes. What can I say, I like to live up the latin lover stereotype. But any longer than that, and it gets boring. Life isn't a 30 minute porn video.

Colossus: Hehe, yeah, I was “manorexic” or as the clinicians love to categorize “body dysmorphic” in my 20s. At my age, frankly, I don’t give a f*k.

I am a super lean 192 lbs., as of this morning, and yes I do feel smaller than holding 10 lbs. of extra water, but even at my weight, nobody of sane mind would pick a fight. And if they were doltish enough to engage, I am just as strong as I was at 210, just much quicker.

Unfortunately, I can’t hold too much water weight, work out, do cardio, work 12-hour days, all while trying to maintain a social life. My lifestyle requires maximum energy reserves. And yes, I overindulge in caffeine; I’m not too proud about that.

Especially with muscular physiques, extra water weight/retention intimidates women. It is not appealing. Even in exclusive relations, you need to maintain higher SMV for women to continually submit to your frame. What easier way to accomplish such a feat than holding a bonafide, high, non game-inflated, SMV; via sporting a fitness-model physique.

Also add in high intensity interval training if at all possible. It helps burn the fat in a shorter duration of time. Since I'm used to operating on minimal oxygen from that kind of training I do often, I was able to nearly summit a 10,781 ft. peak in the pacific NW in three hours. I was able to adjust to the altitude (less oxygen) so much easier.

During the last weeks, I've turned my weightlifting routine itself into a cardio workout.

Every exercise takes 6-8 sets, 12 reps per set, only 30 seconds rest in between sets. You'll be lifting with1/5th of the weight you normally use, it's a humbling experience...

It's the same routine Serge Nubret used. Seemed to work well for him: https://www.google.com/search?q=Ser...workout-serge-nubret-chest-workout%2F;334;525

Lately I like to put a great track on my headphones (music is critical for me), run one mile as fast I can on treadmill (6:45 is my fastest in recent years), then move to weight room and see how long I can last.

With the heavy cardio at the beginning, I am sweating profusely for the weight training. By the time my sweat turns cold, that is when I know it is time to stretch and go home. Results vary day to day

Good post recommending the benefits of cardio! I would add that the sweat is great for your hair, skin, and nails

It's the same routine Serge Nubret used. Seemed to work well for him: []
In well over a dozen studies, hypertrophy exercises--that is, the maximum amount of weight for 10 reps, 10-12 total sets, with 60-second rest periods between sets--had shown to increase Testosterone (T) levels by 87%, greater than any other exercise protocol.

As we know T is the most critical hormone for anabolic growth. I wouldn't be surprised if your protocol, which is very similar to hypertrophy exercises, would work effectively. However, Serge didn't achieve that musculature with exercise and diet alone; I would estimate he had the succor of 1-2 grams of synthetic T injections weekly.

i never had complains because i last 1-2 hours, or more. yes, they usually cvm in the 1st 20 minutes of fcking, but it's fun giving them more in a row, and it is fun giving myself more in a row, so overall i like the way i do it. and i never consider it a marathon mentality, it just happens. we both like it even afterwards, then why stop?

it's just how i see it.

ESPI, you are looking good dude, nice work. Proof that men can look excellent as they get into the 40's and beyond. Its a shame, but I almost never see a woman in her 40's that looks good. Excellent inspiration for those of us younger than you.

I feel like I look better at 30 than I ever have, and there is no reason I can't continue to get better as I age!
