Can't track down thread

A couple months back I was referred through a link in someone's sig here to a post and thread from a guy, which detailed why some men are drawn to dangerous women, damaged goods, the walking wounded, etc. instead of stopping being stupid and going for balanced girls.

It was one of the best posts I've seen here, and since it was fairly unique it was even better. I really want to find it again. I've searched repeatedly with many terms and I can't find it.

So can anyone help me find it. It was a very large post, linked to in someone's signature here, may have been the authors, I don't recall.

Some guys/girls think that they can "fix" or "save" a person that they want to get with. Don't bother.

The post I'm looking for went far further and deeper than that. It gave 4 or 5 different motives behind the man who chases dangerous women. I'd cite you some examples from it, but I can't remember any; that's why I want to track it down again. I only remember I read it and it blew my mind, it nailed this topic so accurately. Not only was it theoretically applicable to myself, equipping me for the future, but more to the point it was realistically applicable to friends of mine who appear to suffer from it, and I wish to be able to clearly define their problem by being able to refer to the post once again.

Otherwise, I tend to come up against 'she's really hot though', when going over it with them, and can go no further.
