Maybe she's just not that good. What are her hands doing while she's blowing you? For me, if she's too rough or too light or lacks rhythm, it has a huge effect on ejaculation.

So she's implying that going for a month without sexual contact with you wouldn't bother her? Remind her that every guy has different pleasure zones the same way every woman does. Tell her that you don't assume she likes it the same way as an ex and want to learn what makes her go crazy, not wait a month so the tension can take over. If she doesn't take that conversation as a clue to ask and do it the way you want I would move on. If you don't want to be as direct you can easily get her to do it differently with your reactions during the act. If she does something that's close to feeling great/better, overreact and ask her to "do _____ again, that felt great!"
