Canned Material That Doesn't Suck. Default Openers.

Okay. I need default openers because I am totally locking up in bars, in the subway, on the street, when I see a girl I'm interested in. I will get eye contact, but unfortunately usually be in my head & not feeling playful.

That's why I need some tips or canned openers that don't suck. I don't want to ask a girl about my ex girlfriend who burned her shoebox of photos or what to name my twin dogs. Please none of that crap. I need a more logical, effective method.

Simply say "Hi"? Maybe it is that easy, for now it doesn't seem that way for me. I get very much in my head when I'm looking at a girl, as if I'm trying to prove to her and to myself that I'm "the man" but it doesn't lead anywhere.

One I used to surprising success last weekend was

"Does this shirt make me look fat?"

I don't even know why I said it, it just came out as I was waiting for my drink and the girl laughed and said "no guy has ever said that to me before..." and she immediately kino'd me and was into me. I used it the rest of the night with similar reactions. For me personally, the more off the wall and ridiculous I can make an opener, the more success I usually have.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that it also helps that I'm in ridiculously good shape and there's no way the shirt really DID make me look fat

Yeah, that sounds like a good one, the more playful and 'off-the-wall' you can be, the better. But in my case, there are times like last night when I am not feeling playful...perhaps I shouldn't have gone out, but I'm hopeful there can be success even when you're feeling low energy or shy.
