Can men still be good looking at 35+?

The girls that hang posters of "dreamboats" are what, 15 years old? This is the mature man forum. The women I date do not hang up posters of men.

And..women are attracted to a man's presence, first and foremost. Looks are a part of it, but just a part.

As girls become sexually aware their attention turns not to “boys” but rather to “cute boys”. Likewise a group of middle aged women will notice and comment on cute guys passing by.

Studies have shown that women perceive good looking men to be more honest than less attractive men and there is a dictum that says, in political elections, everything else being equal, women are more likely to vote for the better looking candidate.

Central to my “game” if you want to call it that is to just look at a woman and smile. It only works because women are as affected by a man’s looks as a man is affected by a woman’s looks.

Men, as well as women, degrade physically over the years. It’s to be expected. However those men who are good looking enough, who keep themselves in decent shape, are socially active, and continue to pursue women, when they are in their forties, will find themselves in situations where desirable women will outnumber desirable men.

Yes, we know there are men like that in the 35+ age group. But, I have seen 20 something men that look like that as well. So what is your point?

There's no sense in arguing natural facts. Women don't age as well as men. I've seen a lot of women but I can't say I've ever seen a woman over 35 that looked young and good without a bunch of make up and flattering clothes. Whereas most men in their 30's if they just watch their weight look similar to any 20 year old guy.

This is true, but one more thing I have noticed is that white guys dont seem to age as well as blacks or hispanics for example.

Yeah... stay out of the sun or wear sunscreen. That's what causes some white guys to age faster.

I hung around a couple guys, 27 and 30, who hardly ever saw daylight. Mama's boys who pretty much stayed in the basement and played video games. They both looked about 19.

And this question is stupid. I'm sure we can think of plenty of guys older than 35 who look great.

Hasn't anyone ever seen a burned-out hippie with a hot girlfriend??? I know I have. According to the logic of some of the posters in this board, he should have virtually NO options, due to a lack of money, looks, and provisioning abilities. But, he does have two things: A strong identity and the ability to create a compelling reality, and this is what draws a specific kind of girl in.

This is what I've been saying to these guys; thank you for seconding that. I've stated here in the past how I've seen quite a few guys who lacked money, looks, and the ever so-called "provisioning abilities", secure relationships with HOT women, as well as marry them.

I've never seen it. Not once. Ever.

I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade, but I have simply never seen an older guy (over 45-50) who lacks money AND looks and bags hot women.

If he keeps getting in shape, why wouldn't be a man good looking at 35+ though hes at 30, 32 or more ?

Of course, theres signs of age that cant be hidden, and unlike women, theres tons of example where MEN do look better in their 40s or 50s than their 30s (see Bruce Willis for ex.)

BUT the point is to keep fit and take care of themselves.

If a good looking (i.e. in shape and well dressed) 30 YO guy starts to let him go by not carrying of himself (bad eating, no more workout, dress like sh*t, etc..) then at 35 he wouldnt recognize himself in the mirror and chances are his GF (if not already done) would find another guy without that beer gut and the training trousers all day long...

No offense taken. Some of my best friends are hippies. This is Seattle, after all.

Hippies with hot chicks, yes. Not a fat, penniless hippie, no. I've seen tan, fit, retired ex-hippies on their boats with hotties -- usually the kind of sandy, taut-bodied vegan chick who's in her 30's and rock-climbs -- and I know plenty of Beemer-driving IPO ex-yuppie hipsters who slum it in Huarachis and a graying ponytail and have knockout dates on their arm.

Of course, there are university professors, who need neither looks nor money, but they are in a serious alpha position and have had YEARS of practice as PUA's. And I will guarantee you that the fit ones with nice bachelor pads land more hot tail than the fat ones seeking tenure who still live with roommates. (I have a buddy whose father was his mother's Psyche professor, BTW. Let's talk old hippies getting young tail. :cheer: )

But other than the aforementioned professors, never -- ever -- a fat guy over the age of 50 with no money and a hot chick. At least, not in America.

I'm not trying to be overly pessimistic. The good news is, this is America. There is plenty of money to be made -- and at our age, you can live pretty well on an attainable salary if you pick your vices carefully. And the better news is, getting in shape is not that hard. I dropped 40 lbs. in 6 months a few years ago.

Get in shape, guys; and get your finances straightened out. You're over 35, it's time to act like a man.

I was that guy. I got back in shape and it has made all the difference.

My dad at 48 years old can walk in the club with me right now, a guy who works out every day and has a top notch w Heardrobe, and there are alot of women that would talk to him before me. My father is a very, very handsome man. My dad has a roladex of numbers bigger than mine. He's knocking off a 25 year old redhead as we speak from last I heard from him. While he's not into working out like i am, he eats for the most part right, in moderation, he is active.


My dad is not rich by any stretch... he's not poor either. owns his own janotorial business, pulls about 70k a year, in arkansas that's not half bad. Drives a 98 Paid off 4runner, A1 credit, lives in a 150k house.'

I'm actually blessed with two good looking parents ("at least from what I hear, I don't rate my mom.. that's my mom). There is always a guy asking me to hook him up with my older sister... dude that's mommy... I don't want to hear that.


Some of you are really overcomplicating this women pulling. I promise you that you do not have to be a millionare or brad pitt in the looks department to pull a hot woman.

I'm 25...but 35 is like not old, at all when it comes to women and being attracted. The other day I asked a girl I know how old would be alright for her. She's 21 and said she set herself a limit at 35, but 35 would still be fine with her she said.

Obviously, girls do like men a bit older than themselves...not saying all of them like the daddy type, but most do like guys a bit older than themselves...Im 25 and I got like 16 yr olds checking me out every now and then (not that Im into it, but it happens lol), so I'm pretty sure 20-something year old girls are gonna check out a good-looking 35+ year old.

The older I get the more attention I get from women. Lots of attention, too much in fact.

Why - I am confident, wise, and comfortable in my skin and at peace with myself. Also because I have a few miles on the clock I have become totally 'b itch proof' - I know all the 'S hit Tests' and games. I am real challenge for them.

Want a women to really chase after you - simply reject her and tell her you are not interested at all. It works a treat and they will do any thing to be with you. Women can't handle rejection as they really believe they can have any man they want.

Be a man, be the prize and never chase women - let them chase after you. The harder to get the better. Play them at their own game

If you take care of yourself and keep fit. You don't have to age badly. Here's an example of a Norwegian group A-ha. The men are 50 orclose . But all this and in shape.

Unfortunately, most American men are fat, have no hair and out of shape at this stage.Due to poor diet and lack of excersice. But you don't have to be.

Most adult males have their laundry list of excuses as to why they can let go. Marriage plays a big role since they just stop caring. Most of my friends who are single are staying in better shape than the ones who are getting married.

Everyone wants to look good, only a small portion of the population actually does anything about it. It takes work; we are stuck in a cube all day and many commute long hours and have little energy when they get back home. As Arnold Schwarzenegger said, its those last 3 or 4 reps which define a champion.....how much are people willing to push to keep themselves fit? Complacency kills that devotion.

I worked with a guy who was still attractive at 80, when he died suddenly due to a lung infection.

His boss told me, he visited this guy when he was in his late 70s, and a young woman dressed in bra and panties opened the door. He was "helping" her with an addiction problem. It was his way of meeting women. He also got an escort girl over occasionally.

He was a very athletic looking guy. At 80, he looked like well-preserved 60. He watched his weight and did yoga every morning. He told me that on his 77th birthday, he did 770 press-ups to celebrate. I didn't believe him and felt his biceps. They were hard and strong, not soft and withered like you'd expect.

He was also poor. Three marriages and a history of alcohol abuse meant he had to work as a drafting instructor until the day he got his final sickness. He drove an old car and wore old clothes, so he wasn't getting hotties, but he was getting action. Also, he kept interested in things. He read the newspaper from cover to cover every day, and did the crossword to keep mentally agile.

Additionally, he was hard of hearing and wore two hearing aids. His hearing had been damaged when a V2 rocket exploded near him during WW2. (That's not old, that's historical.)

A very impressive guy I was proud to call a friend.
