i'm in exactly the same situation. a girl called me skinny too and it sorta got to me. i'm able to joke about it and be comfortable with myself. but i'm gonna check out that bulking up thing cuz i'd rather not stay so skinny.

Once a fellow I didn't know called me a fagg0t because of the hat I wore. I didn't give a sh|t. Perhaps I'm old fashioned, but I never go outdoors without a hat and I don't care if someone else tries to make an issue of it.

Sometimes I've been called "skinny," but it's certainly better than being fat. 61% of the adult American population is overweight (BMI > 25). Just be glad that you aren't contributing to that statistic.

Everyone wants to be thin, the media tells people that they should be thin. You should be glad, not mad.

If someone says that I'm "skinny," I tell them "it's better than being a fat-ass," which is true.

I still cannot get over the fact that someone is complaining about being called "Skinny..."

I mean "Fat@ass" maybe...but "skinny"? I mean...jeeze, why not take it as a COMPLIMENT and tell them "thanks" whenever someone says it to you?

I mean, this thread is seriously as bad as "Gosh, I'm depressed...we were in bed last night and she said my c0ck was just huge..."

first of all, dont listen to the crap quoted above.

1) Get your diet in check

2) Join a gym/buy weights/bench/barbell set

3) Read about working out in the H&F forum

4) Read doubles, lifeforces, silverwexs(mine) and other workout journals to educate yourself more

5) Workout hard - eat hard - rest hard

6) Do it

I started at 146lbs (looked real skinny even tho 146lbs isnt too light!) and am at about 170lbs now. Made sucha difference even though i have a bit of bodyfat on me.

I gained the extra 24lbs in 3 MONTHS! Not all muscle mind but it looks 100 times better than what i was like a year ago!

Bro get a weight gainer like Nlarge2 or Heawy Weight Gainer 900,those have helped me put on 15 pounds in 2 months....also hit the gym and try to eat a 40/40/20% diet.

Don't realy want to talk about how to bulk up, many people are real specialists here. Actually I have the same problem. I can never gain any (a few pounds sure but not more) weight, but I eat like day and night and I eat healthy food: lots of proteins and vegies.

But since I do breakdancing and Capoeira on the side, I'm pretty toned for a skinny guy. Look like a skinny sh*t with shirts on, but girls who are not necessarily into big guys like it when I go to the pool.

But anyway, that's not the point. The point is: some girls like you big, some don't; some girls only dig tall guys (I used to have a height complex back in high school), some don't. Some like this or that, some don't.
Just like us guys, how do we like girls? Big chest? Big A**? Tall? Petite? Blond? Brunette?
Different people have different tastes.

Don't focus on what one single girl said.

don't eat the stuff you mentioned to gain weight.

focus on eating 6 meals a day trying to eat over 3000 or 4000 calories a day.

Eat food like eggs,tuna,beef,chicken,salmon.

take a weight gainer too 3 times a day. I'd suggest muscle milk. Take it 4 times a day on the days you lift.

Also lift 3 times a week doing mainly compound excersizes such as benching and squats and military presses and dips.

also drink lots of water and you can take creatine if u want. if u take the creatine drink even more water. if you take creatine id recommend eas phosphagen hp.

also if u want u can goto bodybuilding.com to read more articles on just lifting and eating. they have great articles on what to eat and how to lift and stuff.



-try not to eat donuts and junk food. You can once in awhile but don't do it always.

if ur skinny u should be taking creatine.
and it DOESNT help u Bulk up. If anything it adds little size to ur muscles. And u need to HAVE muscles in order to retain the water. SO work out for a year and then Start creatine. I wouldnt recommend it unless u do SERIOUS research on it. Supplements are toys, they could help and they could skrew u over

chips, kfc, doughnuts dont make you gain weight they create pimples hahaha

eat chicken and egg whites as stated above

and also (alreay stated)
Eat more calories than you burn off so theres a gain and not a loss

ALSO!!!
The size of your body and muscles and what not are not as important as this....

V <-- your shoulder in ratio to your waist

The ratio of your shoulder to your waist causes more sexual attraction than muscles do. So obviously you want a big shoulder and a skinny waist, just like a V

This is similar to a girls waist to her hips!

UPDATE: Ok so i've taken some of the advice here onboard and have started lifting weights.

I've also tryed to get as many calories in a day as i can like eating muffins,doughnuts,toast....drinking full fat milk etc..

i know it's not healthy to do...but i figure once i get alittle weight i can then tone my body better.

So far gained 2lbs in 2 days

how long does it take for a skinny guy to notice some major improvements on his body? i mean without using supplements, creatine aminoacids and such

Firstly,if you know it's not healthy then why are you doing it?

Dude, you want PROTEIN, not fat. You seem to think that if you become fat, you can then somehow convert the fat to muscle...That's not how it works!! You want to build MUSCLE, there is absolutely no point in just putting on fat, you're only going to look worse.

How bout this.

Don't give a ****. I was called skinny for years. I started lifting weights.

I still get called skinny even though I've put on 30 lbs. Something about having genetically narrow shoulders.

But I can lift more than the fat ass guys that call me it, and the only girls that regularly call me skinny are "fat", so why should i care!

Good luck. It is a fun journey to start lifting.

Dont even worry about the bad advice out there. Just start lifting and recording how much stronger you get.

You can start counting calories later. Now just eat a lot of good healthy food.
