I finally have to admit that the dates where I don't drink or keep things to a glass or two of wine are going much better than the dates where I drink a bottle and a half of wine. The problem is the latter dates are more fun. I guess I just like getting smashed and talking/pulling girls, rather than trying to do the same sober.

Any of you guys relate?

yeaa if it's a one on one date try to restrain yourself. The only exception might be if she is also smashed. I would say a good rule is to always be a bit more sober than her so you can keep your wits about you.

If you're talking about socializing at a party or something...that's different. Not gonna lie, i like to get drunk before i start really going for girls. Its good to warm up talking to girls when soberish, but as the night goes on and i build some momentum, if i'm drunk and i'm feeling good, i can feel like i'm unstoppable and i'm like on autopilot.

Absolutely, I'm definitely not going to stop drinking for when I'm cold approaching, although maybe I'll drink a bit less.

The situations I've been talking about have been one on one, where I've ended up so drunk it was difficult to speak. I know it sounds stupid but generally I dont find girls' company that interesting so drinking is a way of entertaining myself. But it really lowers their interest, which I can understand. It's literally blown up the last four dates I had. My ideal date would be a girl who will match me drink for drink but I don't seem to be finding those party hard girls, more the one glass of wine, then I'm done. It's boring. Im a finance lawyer, I'm around corporate tedes all day. When I play, I want to play hard.

Yup alcohol puts me into God-mode where I am fearless. Went on a date on Thursday without any alcohol and it was great. First time in a while. Booze really just lowers my standards so I will hit on any remotely cute girl. Being sober made me realize I didn't really like the chick that much and that it wasn't worth hittin it. Drunk, I would have escalated and then probably regretted it the next day.

I am now going to do a mix of sober dates/ drunk picking up. Weekdays for sober dates, weekends for fun.

I like masturbating but thats unproductive. Start focusing on the long term goals and forget the short term pleasures. Yes you might have more fun with alcohol but you wont accomplish your goal of keeping the girl around.

BTW. I've noticed the same also. More alcohol = less likely to see her again
