I have to agree with that statement, I have a 94 Accord EX VTEC with 110,000 mi. with every option available and I put in a CD player and sound system and the car has no problems other than the usual paint chips and scratches that come with age and I was offered $3,000 for it last summer.

and that's a low ball figure, private party.

I wouldn't have a problem paying 5 grand for a 94 honda with 110k miles on it, because it has only lived 1/3rd of it's life.. hondas on avg get 300k miles before being totaled where as dodges are about 120k.

and that comes from not stuff I read on forms, but from me having to cut 2 grand from deals because the guy wanted.. and GOT 2k more time and time again more than blue book on trades from hondas. The word honda just adds 2k to trades.

I had a 92 accord that I sold about 5 years ago becuase it had too many miles on it. it had 350k miles (ran fine)...I know the guy I sold it to.. it's still running...great.. with 450k miles

Come back when you're not thinking about buying a P.O.S. thinking its cool.
I wasn't insulting you, as you seem be trying to do to me, I was serious. Look it up, and you will simply find out how wrong you are. There's no argument here, the facts are available instantly on eBay or craigslist.

I f.ucking hate it when people just try and drop an argument with something like, you're stupid, you don't understand, do your research, as if I don't know what I'm talking about. Tell you what, if I'm so wrong and you're so into research why don't you do the research for me and prove it.

Lol, most of those cars you listed are boats on wheels. The Porsche 944 was known for it's superb handling due to the near 50-50 weight distribution. Sure, nearly all of those cars will smoke the Porsche in a straight drag .. but throw in some twisties and they'll just roll over into the ditch.

I've driven my friends foxbody 5.0L, it had plenty of torque and tons of kick. But handling-wise, it just felt too sloppy. My '98 Honda Prelude handles with more finesse than the 'stang did.

Torque and horsepower is cool, but where's the fun if it doesn't handle as well as it accelerates?

No  It is not 50/50. It is rear engine, more weight in the rear, it is only 50/50 when breaking right, when it is needed. This gives very limited error window, it is hard to drive. When driven properly that particular model is outdated, and the cars listed out handle the porsche, some with stock suspencions and some with just a few performance suspencion mods from the factory. SHO and SVT out handle the 944 right out of the box. Now picture, him getting an old car that is not up to date on maintenance and hard to handle, and he's new.

I race in two SCCA classes.

I suggest you do your research. You're trying to tell me and other people about this car, and you think it's rear engine? You obviously have no idea what you're talking about.

The 944 was on Car and Driver's Ten Best list from 1983 through 1985, and the Turbo made the list for 1986.

In 1984, Car and Driver named the 944 the "Best Handling Production Car in America."

Doesn't look like a rear engine to me! Maybe you should do some reading on the 944.
