Buying a bottle of wine for going round?

Hi,

Ive been on two dates with a plate and on the second I ended up going back to her place, totally her idea, we didnt have sex or kiss yet... but she has been giving hints at me coming round for the 3rd date round there, playing board games, watching a "scary" tv series on netflix.

My question is I was going to buy a bottle of wine to bring over, I dont drink myself (at all) so I would be buying it for her. I have read that you should not buy a plate things until you've had sex, but believe this would increase the chances. Or should I assume she will have her own? Does the advice only apply to flowers / presents? I do not want to seem too nice to buy this for her.

Also a bit conscious we havent kissed yet, there's been kino both ways on both dates, she has been initiating texting with me the next day, and I have invaded her personal space a few times but Ive not been able to get the kiss, ive given eye contact but she has not reciprocated.

Of course you bring a bottle of wine..... it is a social lubricant. Helps relax. Don't be a cheap ass... You can buy a decent bottle of red for 9 bucks. It is not going to break your bank. I don't subscribe to the not buying dinner or drink for my date....

Yes, if it's red, spend $28 minimum. Ask the guy at the wine store to recommend his favorite pure Cabernet Sauvignon in the $25 - $35 range.

If you want to save, get a good Pinot Gris (white) for the $18 - $22 range.

A good bottle of wine will be something that captures the moment forever, I'm not kidding. Don't try to save $20 on the wine.

My favorite red wines ($60 - $120 range)

1) Santa Rita Casa Real Cabernet Sauvignon - I served this to my date on NYE and she posed in lingerie later
2) Joseph Phelps Cabernet
3) Beaulieu Georges de Latour Cabernet
4) Quinitessa (Red blend)
5) Allegrini Pallazo della Torre (if you want to save, these cost $20 ish)

Be sure to pair the wine with the food. Red wine goes best with lamb (add John Coltrane for a magical combination that I discovered circa 2000). White wine pairs better with seafood and poultry (serve white chilled and red at room temperature).

I don't drink much either. Always be in control... Nothing worse than being drunk while trying to smash. But you will look creepy if she is the only one drinking.. If I don't want to drink I still pour myself a full glass... sip a little and pour half in the sink when she is not looking.

Don't spend too much.... Apothic Dark or Menage a Trois Midnight... real decent red blends for around 9 bucks.

Always remember... REJECTION IS BETTER THAN REGRET. Nothing worse than thinking what could have been.

I haven't set up the date yet, made a mistake of messaging new years two days ago, seeing if she would give me a vibe of going round that night, so i've initiated 4 times, shes initiated 2, waiting a bit to see if she chases or was going to message in 1 or 2 days for this date this weekend.
