Business Cards

Gentlemen:

I've heard from time to time that personalized business cards are a handy thing to give out to women. Nothing fancy. Just your name, number and maybe something interesting about yourself or a catch phrase.

Opinions appreciated.

Just as long as you're not acting like you're some pretentious douche when you're handing them out.

I had a buddy who made up business cards. They said only his first name and number then he had two job titles: one was a professional race car driver and the other wasn't something else just as ridiculous. He also had a picture of the american flag on it. The women always thought it was hilarious.

Something like that would work.

If you approach random women without building any rapport it's not gonna work. Doc Love did an experiment where he gave out his card to 500 women and only 2 called him back, funny.

There's a reason why they're called business cards. It's because they are for business purposes. I think it's pointless to give a business card to a chick instead of sparking some sort of attraction. Nothing builds attraction like one on one interactions.

The only people I know who even carry true business cards at all these days are lawyers and unemployed actors.

I think it's a great idea. The thing is, you have to find your own personal nitch and what works for you. Something that may work for Joe may not work for you. Something that sucks with Steve, or even 99% of guys, may be where you find your luck. This whole thing is very personal and I think you should try and find yourself and what works or doesn't work for you and forget about what other people say since they are not you.

These days, if you look at cold approach stats the success rate is very low unless you have the looks. It's really hard to just approach a random woman because they don't know what it is you want. Some guys, are wired in a way that unless you have a solid purpose to approach a girl (i.e. ask for the time, directions, or hand out a business card) then it's just hard to open them period.

You have to guage the reaction of the girl you give the card out to. If she's very friendly with you, then of course, take the lead with her and ask for her number. You never know what desperate, lonely hb 0 - 6 is out there that a strategy like this may work on. Just be wary of clingy types that latch on to you.

I tried it and even built some rapport with many of them. It didn't work. End of story.

I handed one of my cards to the hot mom at the saddle shop today. I just told her it's for her collection, nothing else. I'm a horseshoer, so there's a lot more chance she'll call me, than if I was just doing a pickup.
