Hey ive been following diesels guide and am finding good results. Averaging about 2lbs a week for a first few weeks. I was just wondering if I should still be working on my abs during bulking?

Also peanut butter sandwichs are good right? I eat about 3 a day lol

Bit too much, drop it to 1lb per week max. Yes work your abs during bulking, so they grow nice and thick. Then when you cut you'll have decent abs to reveal. No point working them loads when you're cutting because they won't be growing much. No peanut butter sandwiches are not good, thats fat and carbs. Your meals should be based around protein first, then carbs and/or fats where necessary.

Rampage: yeah, but not complete protein. It's missing amino acids so by itself won't be used for muscle growth (but combined with the incomplete protein from bread, who knows...)

If you handle carbs alright and need the calories, by all means go for it, get those high cal snacks down. But you need to be eating lots of complete protein, so you'd probably do better substituting that sandwich for a whey+raw egg shake mate.

there is protein in peanut butter dufass
Yes but it's still fat and carbs and not based around protein first because there is little protein and plenty of fat and carbs.

hey thanks for the quick replies. Im only 6'0 170lbs so I figured the PB was good for me.. I need the calories. I need to get about 3700 or so and the peanut butter is a big help.

I get lots of protein. I drink 2 whey shakes a day and usually a chicken breast, legs, etc for dinner and such.

Calories need to be from the right stuff mate, no point bulking up on too many fat and carbs. You need more protein, 5 meals a day plus post workout shake is what's needed. Try and get 40g + of protein in each meal, even more PWO and dinner. Use most of your carbs at breakfast and either side of training, with fats in sedentary periods. It's going to be a bit uncomfortable eating lots of protein, but that's whats needed.

From what I've heard, once you get your protein requirement in, it doesn't matter what else you eat.

Some article I read it mentioned a body builder who eats 10 hamburgers a day from McDonalds during his bulking phase

Yes there's some merit to that, depends how cleanly you want to bulk and how easily the fat will come off at the end of a bulk. Some BBers bulk up loads off season, are fat, then get ripped for comp and it works well. But for recreational trainers it's not wise to get fat throughout the year.
