his gains are from water weight alone. don't listen to him.

use whey and lift heavy. that bulking pish does have lots of carbs plus protein but the protein is poor quality and the carbs are in sugar form

great advice Gav...

First off weight gained in 2 days could be a simple fluctation.

You need more calories overall, its really very simple.

EAT MORE.

I use Prolab N-Large2 when I'm bulking and it works great (also use ON Whey, also highly recommended). Anyone who says bulking protein is bs is either using some complete crap brand or is talking out of their a$$.

Though I will say, 2kg in 2 days isn't muscle. I wouldn't worry about it right now.

It's used after the training when you need fast carbs and protein

Not always, most weight gainers contain fat too, which slows absorption.

Go for whey powder and make your own MRPs.

all weightgainers I've ever used was only different kinds of suger and whey, no additional fat besides the fat found in the whey. Whey concentrate contain fat too.

Musclemilk = weight gainer which has fat in it.

In any case, I'd never mix carbs and fats anyway.

All weight gainers which use whey concentrate will have fat in it. So if you can use whey concentrate after a lifting session I don't see why you can't use a gainer. Such small amounts of fat will not hinder progress to any big extent. I think people are too occupied with details when they should lóok at the big picture and remember that a good diet with resistance training will make you grow.

The only good pure bulking powder I've come across is called "Up Your Mass" by MHP. It has almost no sugar content and is packed with low glycemic carbs. The only thing I see 'wrong' with it is that its protein is a whey/soy blend.

I've started to realize that the best weight gainers are the ones you put together yourself. It's alot cheaper too.

Go for whey. WG don't give you the flexibility you need to manipulate your diet.

With whey you can add various oils and carbs to match your needs.
