I'm not being sarcastic, 2lbs of peanuts is ~5k calories and 2lbs peanut butter is ~11k, so there is a big difference ;)

Dude to be honest,if you are turning raw peanuts into peanut butter it shouldn't change the weight or calorie content. Again i say raw peanuts into peanut butter. I make the peanuts into butter via a machine I use at the grocery store and there are no added ingredients. Jiffy is crap.

Bulking on a budget? Here is what you do...if you have no shame that is....its for the brisk and the bold

Go to a nice buffet...get heaps of prime rib, steak, grilled chicken

Here is the kicker...bring a big zip lock bag/back pack and load that fkr full of as much as you want...you might want to sit in a corner

you could have food for weeks for like 13 bucks...

I have never done this but I would absolutely do it if I lived in a dorm and was low on cash

Here's what I typically buy:

Raw oats
12-grain bread
tortillas
low fat refried beans
shredded cheese
bananas
grapes
ground buffalo (not cheap, but delicious, lean, and way more protein than beef)
chicken breast cutlets
frozen green beans or pea pods (the steam kind)
yogurt!! lots of it
juice
lactose-free milk, soy, or rice milk (careful with soy, too much can increase estrogen)
eggs
gatorade

Those are the basics. They work for me. Some guys make too much of dieting; they count grams and calories and it's unnecessary. Just buy stuff that is natural and comes directly from animals or the earth. Easy.

For supplements, you can do this on a budget too. First of all, too much is made of supplements. MOST supps are a waste of money. All you need is a good quality whey isolate or blend, creatine monohydrate, a multivitamin, some flax or fish oil, and maybe glutamine or a BCAA supp. That's it, you cant go wrong.

The thing is when you are trying to gain weight, supplements can actually SAVE you money. Scivation makes a 10 lb box of whey protein that sells for $57.99. AST sells 1 kilo of micronized creatine for $23.00. Flax, fish oil, multi vitamins are all reasonably priced. Don't fall into the trap of thinking you need the latest mass-blaster supp to get big. Those companies make money off of dumb guys who just wanna get "jacked".

Also, another thing that will really help you gain weight is homemade weight gainer shakes. This is all you need:

COLOSSAL Gainer

2 cups milk, soy, or rice milk
2 scoops whey
1 cup yogurt, any flavor
1 cup raw oats
flax seeds if you have them
a banana
a bit of honey
a bit of water so it's not too thick

Drink this 2x a day and 110% guarantee you will gain weight. You've got ~80g protein, fast carbs, slow carbs, some clean fats, and great flavor. This has never failed for me and I'm 225 and climbing!!
