How many of you would be interested in a book or program that specifically helps younger guys (18-24) get started on the road to building wealth?

I have received an overwhelming number of PM’s from members of this board looking for more information on how to get started building their personal fortunes. Unfortunately time doesn’t allow me to answer everyone. The question I am asked most often is, “I’m young and have no money and no credit. How do I get started”.

It seems to me that most books on the subject neglect the specific challenges that face the high school and college age investors. So, my questions are-

1. Would YOU be interested in this type of book? Do you think your friends would be interested?

2. How much would you be willing to pay for an eBook? How much for a soft cover copy? How much for an Mp3 audio download of the book?

3. What material would you like to see covered in this book?

4. Any other input relating to this idea?

Any input is appreciated!

I would buy it for about 10 bucks.

What I would like to see:

-making a first purchase

-when to make a first purchase

-information on credit(building it, etc.)

-perhaps a section on some RE terms, I seem to run across 5 new ones everyday when reading on the topic.

Anyways, that would be great if you did one, I would probably get it.

First off, I doubt that I would write extensively about no money down techniques in this book.

I am open to hearing opinions both positive and negative, but why would you say it is a waste of time? Regardless of whether or not you personally believe it can be done, the fact of the matter is IT IS DONE EVERY DAY! People use creative techniques to finance assets that most people might say is impossible.

This book would be more targeted towards understanding the basic principles behind building wealth and the things you should be concentrating on when you are young and just starting out.

Great input fellas, keep it coming!

bro i was making a joke..

i didn't mean writing a book is a waste of time.
i'm saying ur targeted market doesn't have the money to buy the book!

personally, i'd love to write a book. great way to make some money.

for the most part, get rich quick schemes DON'T work. but certainly people can make it happen.

I wouldn't be doing this to make a lot of money. I wouldn't be able to put the effort into marketing it to produce that result. I would do it because I enjoy the subjectand like a challenge.

You have it WAY wrong. This is far from get rich quick. It usually takes many years to build anything substantial. The difference between what I teach and the traditional way of investing is that my methods might allow you to retire within 10 years of starting (could be more or less depending upon many factors) while the "scrimp and save and buy mutual funds" method might take 30 years and still not produce anywhere near the same result.

sounds like a great idea! I would definitely buy one.

Would you distribute it in stores or would you use direct marketing?

The Wealthy Bartender would make a great title, as aforementioned in the other thread.

I noticed in an older posting you mentioned you had a business in eastern europe that hasn't turned a profit yet.

I have some academic experience with the emerging markets of eastern europe, and probably have some information you would find interesting or maybe even beneficial.

If you're interested, PM me.

Do you know anything about investing in Bulgaria? I am considering buying a house there before they join the EU.
