"Broke up" with FWB....still continue with Valentine's plans?

I feel silly asking advice for this because I likely know what the right play is, but I'm on an emotional hit right now and my mind is twisted up. Anyway...

Ended things with a "friend with benefits" last night, but in actuality we acted like a couple just without the title. She initiated the "break up" last night after she told me she's got another guy she's dating and she wants to give him a chance. Since we weren't officially in an exclusive committed relationship, I just wish her the best, tease her, act as I normally do, and hang out with her the rest of the night at her house.

So last night in bed we get to talking and I tell her about the plans I had for her on Valentine's but that I will likely nix them now that we're "done". She told new guy beforehand that she was busy Valentine's day, obviously to be with me, even though I guess they've already been dating.

Does this mean that she still wants to be with me? Is this Valentine's day thing like a last chance for me or something? Thing is, she doesn't sound too sure bout new guy. She told me he's just not as passionate as I am, and that she feels like she's compromising in some way being with him. She also told me she was planning to break it off with me after Valentine's day weekend, but of course it happened sooner. Do I still go through with my original plans? She was vague as to whether she wanted me to or not. I would like to keep her around. Or maybe I'm foolish to want to do so...

Any advice or insight would be appreciated.

We started out casually dating. She's always wanted commitment from me since the beginning. I wanted to keep it a casual, free to date other people type thing and I told her from the beginning.

Held that frame, spun other plates. We also have mutual friends and hang in the same social circle. She kept wanting commitment, I kept telling her nah. Been about 6 months now.

I asked to be exclusive month and a half ago tho, she declined lol. Still kept seeing each other casually. Things have always been good between us...sex and home cooking whenever I want. She's always been available, never flaked on anything.

I know she's got strong feelings for me, if not love me. She blew up my phone with text messages and called just now. Haven't replied. I'm guessing she's doing this shyt with the other guy cuz I've been acting beta lately and to have something safe.

Now that the shock of loss to my ego has passed, I'm just gonna let things go. Probably hit up the clubs with some friends tomorrow night. She's a good girl, but in hindsight I definitely lost the frame and didn't lead properly. Live and learn.

She has been trying to contact me like crazy though, texting and calling, and seemed jealous that I was going to an open bar event that I told her about. Dunno what to make of that?
