All I can say is wow, I didn't expect Brock to get rocked that bad. I knew it was possible, very possible for him to get a defeat, since Carwin exposed his weakness, but Velasquez totally toyed with him and took the belt right under our noses. I was and still am a determined Brock fanboy, I was on the Fanpages on Facebook, talking a whole load of smack with the Brock haters, saying how he's going to put foot marks on Cain.

Good job on Cain though. His level and gameplan is top notch (choosing good spots when ground and pound). I respect that, theres something I don't like about his fightng style though. Is it me or am I seeing things, but Velasquez's punches seem really slow with no power? Sort of like taps? They said he got 50 power punches whilst Brock got in 12. Maybe, they're fast and just don't look powerful? Which one?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amZotfeqX00 (Full-fight if you missed it), not sure how long untill it's taken down.

I wonder about Lesnar's health. He might have never fully recovered from when he was sick. It could be Crohn's Disease or something like it that never goes away. He did not look like his usual self.

I was diggin the beard. I thought for sure he had it, but damn did he get rocked. Cain was the better fighter in the end though. That's the first Mexican heavy weight winner in anything.

Who was the last fight? I was too drunk to remember their names. That was the best fight of the night. Some fat dude destroying some poor innocent guy, and it ended in like 30 seconds.

Brock was his usual-self arrogant S.O.B, there was nothing wrong with him at all whatsoever. Shit, Brock was smashed to bits on saturday, it was kinda funny and sad at the same time for me watching him helpless like that against a smaller opponent because he's my favorate fighter. That will teach him never to let arrogance get the better of him.

Brock broke one of the cardinal rule of WAR: never underestimate your opponent. Sometimes, i seriously wonder if Brock really does have a brain inside that big head of his, i mean why the fvck would you go toe to toe with a supposedly far superior boxer like Cain. He played right into Cain's hands by allowing his arrogance to blind him like that. Did you see how quick Cain got up everytime Brock attempted a takedown? Brock is the ground and pound king and Cain knew that perfectly well thats why he didn't go to ground with Brock until he was exhausted.

The rematch is gonna be interesting because i doubt Brock would make the same mistake twice and i also doubt Cain would even make the mistake of allowing Brock to take him to the ground unless he was sure of a win by submission or something like that.

I'm sure he's a great fighter, but that was the first time I saw him and he didn't make that great of a first impression, if this is still the same person I'm thinking of.

LOL at amateur hour in there, Brock won't even watch when a punch is thrown at him. He is like a kid scared in the bed who pulls the bed sheets above his head.

The dude needs to spar with proper heavies, learn to fight, and not simply rely on athletacism and size/strength. Don't think he would beat Carwin in a rematch either, and he will never beat Cain. If JDS can manage to keep it on the feet for even a round or two, he will be too much for Brock also.

Baddest man on the planet, LOL, nice attempt at hype Dana. Beating a smaller Randy Couture and an over-rated Frank Mir isn't nearly enough to be the best heavyweight on the planet.

I actually disagree with the overating of Mir. I think he just gets into his head too much and tries to submit people instead of just going at them and knocking them out....I think his whole thing is he wants to the "The Most technical," Heavyweight so he is always looking for the sub instead of just knocking their block off.

You saw it with the carwin fight...mir biding his time until carwin dragged him down and pounded a win out. IF mir went at him I think he could take him...Mir has a longer gas tank then either carwin/brock and would have won if he stood up and fought instead of trying to find a way to take carwin down and sub him.

Jake shields won which I'm glad....him fighting kos/gsp is another thing though.

I wouldn't write Big Brock off yet. If he ever learns how to strike, he'll be breaking people's necks with his punches.

In his physique and wrestling skills, he still has the best tools around; he just needs another one in his toolbox ala STRIKING.

I thought Carwin just got him with some great uppercuts in the clinch up against the cage. Just too big, strong and powerful for Mir. Don't really remember Mir trying to take Carwin down and then being pounded out on the ground.....he was already wacked by the time he slid down there.

Cain is a robot

Cain is a robot. Man, did you see his face in the dressing room after the fight? He wasn't even smiling and he just became the 1st Mexican heavyweight world champion. That's why he won. He was confident. He wasn't intimidated by Brock at all.

Brock, on the other hand, the stronger man definitely, but GOD does his ground defense suck! When someone grounds and pounds you, you don't cover up like in a fetal position like that! He did that with Carwin, too! That's not defending yourself intelligently. The referee had no choice but to stop the fight.

Personally, I thought Brock could still take it but since he didn't know how to defend underneath, referee still made a good call.
