He did not come to Israel dressed like a Nazi.

He did not stand in the middle of London screaming Nazi slogans.

He went to his friend's birthday party(read that ****en sentence over and over until it sinks in), and this protograph happened to leak out. Now he's got Israeli officials on his ass saying he needs to grow up, all those anti-nazi groups making him out to be Hitler's co-conspirator, and everyone acting like he offended them personally in some way.

He went out to have some fun with friends, what he wears or what he does is absolutely none of anyone else's bussiness. Sure he could have picked a more PC costume, but he didnt. You all need to stop acting like he fvcked your wife and burned down your house.

also some Jews act like they are the only ones who have the right to be pissed off at Hitler and Nazi Germany. What about the Poles, Americans, Russians or English, who died in WW2 as prisoners or when fighting that bastard , you're not the only ones who lost family members because of him.

World Jewry as a whole needs to knock it off with all this looking for a reason to be offended. You can't even criticize Israel's government for a behavior or policy you don't agree with without being called anti-semetic. The act of embracing victimhood in this way actually causes some people to hate Jews who otherwise had no reason to feel that way.

The kid wore a costume to a costume party...he did NOT tattoo a swastika on his forehead...and damn it, despite the fact that millions of Jews were killed during the Holocaust, they weren't the only ones killed. Physically and mentally disabled people were killed. Catholic priests were killed, gypsies were killed. Basically, aside from Jews, some of the most vulnerable populations of people were killed. The Holocaust was NOT all about victimizing the Jews.
Agreed that many Gentile people were killed during the Holocaust, but so what? How's this: the Holocaust was MOSTLY about victimising the Jews. A majority of those killed were Jewish and Hitler's Final Solution specifically targeted the Jews. Hitler's orations prior to the war mostly attacked the Jews as well. I think the Jewish people have a right to their wound.

Also, using the phrase "World Jewry" smacks of anti-Semitism (conscious or not) and ZIONIST OCCUPIED GOVERNMENT conspiracy theory.

Since the discovery of Auswitz and the like, we have had Rowanda, various other African genicides, Pol pot and the Serbs efforts.

If as much effort was put into preventing those as the amount of energy people are going on about this, maybe we could have prevented them.

The Jews don't have a monopoly on this stuff you know. Do something useful and prevent the next one.

Trust me dude, I think Rwanda was the biggest failure of the international community in the 20th century, since we knew about it and still failed to act. That said, just because other genocides happen this doesn't lessen the severity of the Holocaust. I'm not arguing that the Holocaust is the only bad thing in world history. I'm saying that no one should discount it as whining by Jews just because other people were killed too, both there and in other places since.

Another one that amazes me is nobody seems to talk about Stalin, yet he did exactly the same thing, exept on a bigger scale.

I guess it's 'cos he was sort of on our side.

people don't care about what Stalin did because he killed 20 million of his own people. Hitler, on the other hand, killed millions of jews...god's chosen people. You're not supposed to touch God's chosen. :D

Why should Harry apologize? He wore a silly little costume to a party. Who the hell cares!!

Stop looking for a freaking reason to be offended. And there isn't a goddamned thing about the term "world Jewry" that is anti-semetic.

Oh, and Hitler is dead. He's no threat anymore. I wasn't even alive when he was, never supported for or voted for his a$$ and I'm not going to feel one ounce of guilt or shame for what he did...and neither should Prince Harry. If that bothers you, it's just going to have to bother you. I have nothing against Jewish people, and my best friend growing up was Jewish. What I do have a problem with is perpetual victimhood, and Jewish Holocaust guilt mongers aren't the only ones that annoy me to no end. You can add feminists to that group, too as well as Civil Rights groups that hold slavery against people today, who had nothing to do with any of that, either. Basically...anyone that embraces victimhood works my last nerve.

Oh...and don't call me anti-semetic again...that's bigotry.

While i agree that embracing victimhood is not a good thing but i do not think that myself or anyone else did so. If i was to embrace victimhood, i would be saying that bad stuff only happened to the Jews and Jews will forever be victims.

I did not say that.

I said that Prince Harry should apologise for dressing as a Nazi (not Hitler) as the Nazi's were responsible for an ideology which is still around today and which previously killed tens of millions of peoples. As Jews were one of the main brackets of people killed, then as a Jew i have taken offense. I do not claim that only Jews should take offense, i actually think that everyone should.

Jewish People just want the Holocaust to be remembered and respected for what it was: A systematic ethnic cleansing of many different peoples due to the growth of a vile ideology accepted by many at the time resulting in the death of millions.

I do not think that anyone should dress as a Nazi to fancydress partys. Prince Harry is not setting a good example, he is trivilising the events, a reflection of many i am afraid in wider society.

Consider the Armenians, they had a genocide commited against them by the Turks in the 1910's. If you go to the Armenian side of Jerusalem, they have maps everywhere calling for recognition and respect for the dead. But, as they are not proving capable of forcing into the news, the Turks deny it and most people don't care.

Lets not let that happen to the Holocaust.

True, but Nazism is still alive and kicking, they still hate Jews, and Prince Harry is kinda showing support for them.

My best friend's grandparent (don't remember which) was killed in Auschwitz. Much of her family spent time in the camps. We've talked about it once. She didn't bring it up, nor did she play the victim role. In fact, no one I've ever talked to has acted victimised because of it. So I find it hard to believe that there are Jewish people all around you bringing up the Holocaust because their dog got hit by a car.

It's such a good idea to punch the next guy who brings up the Holocaust. Only by you "standing up" to the Jews will this madness end. You're a shining example to us all.

Why don't we extend this spirit of reconciliation? In fact, I'm going to bodyslam the next Irishman who mentions England. I urge you all to beat up any group that was ever oppressed or killed anywhere in the world. They deserve it more than anyone!

Okay, about Harry...it was his friend's birthday party...NOT a public gala event. A photo leaked out from a PRIVATE birthday party. C'mon...no apology is in order. He's a teenage boy. I have two teenage boys and they like to occassionally thumb their noses to society...it is NORMAL. You likely pulled the same stuff as a teenager. Everyone usually does.

No one will ever forget the Holocaust...it's taught in every history class. Consider this for a minute...EVERYONE knows about the Holocaust. However, there have been a lot more genocides that have also taken place, a lot of them AFTER the Holocaust...and knowledge of those aren't common. My point is...there ARE other victims who have suffered JUST as much as the Jews did at the hands of Hitler.

The thing that annoys the crap out of me about the victimhood thing is that you can't talk candidly about Israel spying on the US and selling military secrets to Russia during the cold war, or the attack on the USS liberty in the late 60's without being called a Jew-hater. It's ridiculous. Just because Jews were victimized a long time ago doesn't absolve the Israeli government from all future guilt when it behaves badly. Everytime I've been on political message boards and these subjects come up, anyone who doesn't all out deny either from happening (despite proof that they did) is called anti-semetic. That finger pointing has become the traditional reaction to any criticism of Israel's government, and it's ridiculous. It's the same thing anytime I've ever seen discussions about other genocides. You always hear "Well Jews suffered more in the Holocaust". Those reactions (as well as the chastising of Prince Harry for what he wore to a friends private birthday costume party) are the very things that breed needless contempt against Jews as a whole. The proper way to react to the costume would be to say something like, "Well, that really wasn't the best thought out costume for the Prince to wear...but he's a kid and kids don't think sometimes." Demanding a public apology is only going to make the kid harbor resentment. It's kinda counterproductive.

Nazism is only still alive because the embracing of victimhood leads to resentment and hatred. In fact, young Prince Harry is more likely to actually dislike Jews after this reaction than he ever was before.

Antisemitism is not the proper word to describe anti-Jewish. Jews are not the only semites. There are many muslim semites as well as Christian semites.

Hitler basically wanted to take out anyone he deemed a threat to his plans. Jews in Germany were fairly well organized and involved in politics. Many were wealthy and influential. That's why he targetted them. Jews were targetted because they were viewed as a threat. Others were targetted because they were in some way a threat (Catholic Priests) or viewed as physically or mentally inferior for the "master race". Jews weren't targetted because of their religion or beliefs. They were a threat...which is always the reason ethnic cleansing or genocides take place. If it were muslims that were in Germany and were a threat instead, it would have been that group that would have been targetted.

Genocides and ethnic cleansing is always done for essentially the same reason...one group of people are a threat (real or imagined) to the group in power, and become targets of mass killing to eliminate that political threat. It is not simply about religion...it's about power and control, nothing more, nothing less.

So all the jews in Poland and Ukraine that were murdered were also a threat to his political power ?

As well as the gypsies - also a threat to his political power ?
