Chicks do it all the time. All is fair in love and war. The petty attempt to discredit what i was saying wasn't needed. He asked a simple question, i gave him the best and most straight forward answer.
Here we disagree.
I'm of the opinion that it's hardly
ever "better" to make up some lie. In this situation specifically, why not just say, "I don't think it's going to work out between us"? There's no reason to make up a lie at all, really.
And does that "chicks do it all the time" make it "right" for a burgeoning man to do? Chicks are not guys, guys are not chicks. Why should we guys adopt the traits of chicks any moreso than absolutely necessary? Femininity wasn't meant for men.

Another question oh mighty Mod. Are you saying you never lied in your life? I hope not, because if you did, then you wouldnt be a self respecting man, not to mentino a hypocrite.
Hey, we only disagree slightly. It's not like I was bad-mouthing your bloodline, man.
Yes, I have lied and I've lied a lot. I'll be the first person to admit it, too. I've lied enough to convince myself that lying isn't what needs to be a constant attribute of mine. I think more people respect others who tell the truth constantly than those who lie constanly, yeah? And getting anywhere in life or in this game is like skating uphill if you're not able to garner respect (be it the respect of yourself or the respect others hold for you).
To me, lying gets in the way of experiencing things for what they are. Lying is an artificiality, a made-up world. I'd rather learn from my actions than learn from the consequences (the made-up reality) of a lie.
