"To Find The Woman of Your Dreams, You Must First Become the Man of Your Dreams".

I read the post about George Clooney and just finished listening to VictoryUnlimited's audio clip about the difference between Denzel Washington's confidence and Sidney Poitier.

Brad Pitt- The Legends of the Falls...after watching this movie as a young boy I wanted to be like his character. He never chases the woman, he breaks horses, he goes to sea, he's passionate and cool. The woman surrenders herself totally to him even as a rich banker (his brother) pursues her and can give her a more secure life.
George Clooney- intelligent, cool, stylish, sophisticated and a little ****y.
Denzel- Training Day...general badass...powerful presence, I would say he is charasmatic.
Sidney- I'm young, gotta study up on him but I can sense the attitude-- I'm a King already on the throne.

So my point...I feel more like a goofy, loner personality that wants to accomplish great things and be succesful. I stand out amongst the people I work with. Some think I'm arrogant and too confident. I have been told before that I simply look arrogant and too confident from the get-go. I want to be more successful with women, I need to improve my social skills, but I also want to be a man other men want to hang with. I know that the gentlemen I mentioned above are successful masculine men but my question is how can I also improve on being more likable and inspire confidence from other men.

For Sidney, I only saw him in three movies, one called Sneakers (about hackers) and another called Little Nikita and Shoot to Kill.

Every man should seek to maximize the strengths of his own demeanor to his best benefit. Whichever way of displaying your masculinity that seems to be the most true to your core nature and personality is the one you should cultivate.

This thread reminded me of a commercial I saw on TV

It's good to learn things from others, but you have to learn to play the game as yourself.
