Hey OP you got off easy. I banged a cougar once who told me the following story.....
This chick was in a marriage of 20 or so years and the sex had died off completely. She went to Italy with her husband on vacation. While she was there, some young Italian guy who was a waiter at the restaurant in their hotel kept telling her how sexy and beautiful she was. No sex with him but he was all over her during the trip. The husband didn't seem to care.
So she gets back to the ol' USA with her husband. She exchanges emails with the Italian guy for a couple of months and he writes about how amazing she is.
So she initiates divorce proceedings with her husband who is totally surprised. While the divorce is pending (6 month waiting period in Calif), she flies back to Italy to surprise this Italian guy.
She gets back to the hotel, he's there and is surprised to see her. He tells her thanks but no thanks, he's got a girlfriend. She spends her entire week there trying to convince him to sleep with her. He refuses.
Crushed, she returns to the US and a couple months later is divorced from her husband. Now she trolls the online dating boards looking for love. I banged her after 2 drinks and came on her t*ts (which were fabulous BTW).

Don't always be the one putting yourself out for her. Don't always be the one putting all the effort and work into the relationship. Let her, and expect her, to treat you as well as you treat her, and to improve the quality of your life.
