That book was published in 2003. 30 something women in 2003 were Gen X'ers. The mating environment has changed significantly since the late 1990s/early 2000s.

30 somethings of the 2010s-2020s have more abundance than the 30 somethings of the late 1990s-early 2000s.

When that book was published, swipe apps didn't exist, social media didn't exist, and smartphones didn't exist. Online dating websites were just coming out of being stigmatized.

While it's no secret that women prefer tall men, it's hard to imagine that at 5'10, your height would be an absolute deal breaker. Un the U.S., only 14.5% of men are 6 ft+. If all women refused to date men of average height, 85% of them would be single.

Me? Naw never been with a pro (that I know of), did date a stripper in my 20’s would be surprised if she turned tricks, met her the dance floor of I club I frequented in El Paso.

And I have a strong preference for Latinas-see the last thing I posted in the meme thread for more info. As far as 1-10 ratings I really don’t believe in them but use the scale as some sort of way to communicate my 1-10 preferences to others. heck I’ve dated up to 6’ tall chicks and I’m 5’10, it’s not common, but it’s achievable and I’m no Chad. I prefer 5’3”girls, just seem to nestle in my arms better, but I’ve had super intimate relationships with much taller ones, it’s dependent on many things other than their stature.

Yea a preponderance of women will not date men shorter than them, and there are a lot of 5’1” girls that will only date >6’.
