The book is the 'The Six Pillars of Self-Esteem' by Nathaniel Branden, it's needed book for every DJ here, l don't care if you bang 10 girls a week, read this book, you will thank me.

It talk about the Six Attitudes that provide self-esteem, it's great to know what you are doing wrong and get on the track.

Let me give you a example of a mistake(Self-Esteem mistake) that many of guys here are doing:

Let's supose that 'AFChump' got rejected and he immediatly reminds of the 'It's her loss' posts and advices, the sad part is that by thinking this way('It's her loss' , 'Who cares') and NOT beliving in that is the biggest crime you can do against yourself, it's you rejecting yourself.

If you didn't like getting rejected, you must accept it, accept doens't mean liking or approving it, it's just realizing the you did not like and not trying to scape from that by repeting some 'toughts l saw on the forum', after accepting negative feelings they will be IMMEDIATLY GONE, but by fighting them they will not surrender.(This is one of the attitudes, self-acceptation)

So, read the book, it have many ideas and a excelent Self-Esteem Program and Self-Esteem Ideas.

This book is a must for every DJ, because:
Self-Esteem = Confidence(Self-Esteem doens't mean liking your face or your body, it's much more than that)

Just like someone said one time(I can't remenber the nickname):
"Self-Improvement without self-respect is suplication", in the book you gonna understand why.

To me this is the BEST book out there for any DJ(Beginner or no), trust me, go and get it.

I completely agree with you ESPN - it's a GREAT book. The sentence completion exercises detailed in the book have helped me heaps.

The book also deals a lot with self-respect (an important component of successful DJing which doesn't seem to get enough discussion here).

In short guys - It's well worth the investment if you're struggling with your self-esteem.

Actually Nathaniel Branden is an expert in Philosophy who's popularity has dated back to the fifties. In the sixties he had his own Nathaniel Branden Institute, which made publications for a right-wing political and life philosophy called 'Objectivism', which was pretty controversial at the time. Objectivism was started by author Ayn Rand, who wrote incredible fiction novels like "The Fountainhead" and "Atlas Shrugged", books that many believe to be the best books about self-esteem ever written. If you're considering any change at all for improving your individuality or self-esteem, definately read Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand.

The greatness about this book it's because it contains the ideas that cover everything in yourlife(as so the DJ life, such as rejection, failures and mistakes).
Everybody should read.

I strongly recommend some other books:

"The 48 Laws of Power" by Robert Green;

"The Art of Seduction"!, by Robert Green";

"How to Be a Man in a Woman´s World";

"Meditations" by Marcus Aurelius
(available for free at http://classics.mit.edu//Antoninus/meditations.html).

"The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle.

Improve yourself. Seek wisdom and inner peace
first. Then the other things will follow and you may be able to see the real value of things.

"Think and grow rich" by Napoleon Hill, the 1st chapter!

Much of Pooks's posts and ideas are very similar to those in this book, so is the majority of the posts in the DJ bible.
This means that if you've read this book, you've read most of the Bible. And if you had read the Bible, you would find additional new things to learn from the book. And it's free too, enough commercial. Here's the link GET IT HERE

If there are other similar book of this quality please let me know, post them here

"Our only limitations are those we set up in our own minds"
- Napoleon Hill

Absorb the power of auto-suggestion:

"If you think you are beaten, you are,
If you think you dare not, you don't
If you like to win, but you think you can't,
It is almost certain you won't.

"If you think you'll lose, you're lost
For out of the world we find,
Success begins with a fellow's will-
It's all in the state of mind.

"If you think you are outclassed, you are,
You've got to think high to rise,
You've got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.

"Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger or faster man,
But soon or late the man who wins
Is the man WHO THINKS HE CAN!"
