First impressions count however try to impress girls and you will put end up putting them of, do nothing at all and no one will want to talk to you, another guy that gets overlooked. This same logic can be applied to many endeavours but in this particular post I want to turn my attention to the walk.

The Walk- without doubt the most underrated part of 'game', to some the walk can be seen as a blunt tool, to others pointless but to me it has various subltes that need to be mastered in order to successfully turn heads without really doing anything. On the face of it many of you will say but everyone walks the same but what is amazing is the responses from women that you will get if you walk in a certain way. On first impressions the walk tells the onlooker a lot about that the person at a glance and is a perquisite for any good body language and since body language is all about movement, how you project your inner thoughts, it is very informative weapon and can go some way to showing others what you are like without saying a word. 'Women know if a man is good with other women by what he projects and walking projects so many things. Other players can infact pick out another a player/person with game from the crowd just by how he enters the place etc. Not convinced let me give you a couple of examples;

Example 1; we all the know this type, the 'nerd, geek, runt, dork' or whatever you want is the type of person that essentially has low self esteem, little self worth and lets face it not much to say when it comes to women. They have no game and often they can be spotted a mile away. You know that slumped walk, eyes to the ground, weak posture, not really aware of what is going on around them. These people are a cliche and you can learn one thing from them, don't walk like they do!

Example 2; this time it is a female, but no ordinary female, she is neither a geek nor a dork, no she is a sex goddess, at least in her own mind anyway. You know the type that I am talking about, its the ones that my mates always complain about saying 'I hate the way they just ignore you like dirt.' I tell them to call it 'a false indifference,' instead but to no avail they wont listen. They have that air about them, a style that is 'effortless' and an imposing walk that lets other people know, I am beautiful and I know it. It portrays many thing and its screams, 'you want me, I know...but you can't have me!' this has the effect of making the man crave her even more but that is for another day.

So above are 2 powerful examples of walks, one good and the other, well plain crap. So what are the character traits that as a man you would want to convey as you walk and who poses such a walk? This is also an inner game question but lets stick with the walk for now.

Well the character traits are easy to define, a walk should express, power, confidence, aggression in measure, sublty but most importantly it should illustrate that you are an authoritive man of high value in control of yourself and you surroundings etc

But how to walk?!?!, well describing the 'correct' movement would be a tedious process because of the complications involved and my ability to vividly express it is words is limited to say the least. More over any description is open to interpretion, some may walk like a pimp and I don't mean that in a good way, or others may walk as if they have tvs under their arms. What is preferable are examples of men who have the best walks and below are a few examples;

Sean Connery, he is numero uno as far as the sexy walk is concerned, inparticularily watch 'Dr. No' and marvel at the way he moves, pay close attention to position of his head the swinging of his arms, the straightness of his back and the way he flows in regards with his leg movements.

Brad Pitt, watch 'Fight Club,' now I am not a fan of Pitts bodylanguage, nor his acting for that matter, sure it is dominant etc but I think he goes to far he overdoes it but his walk is still better than 99% of other males out there.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, no not the govenor, or the terminator walk or really any of his movies, I am talking about his bodybuilding days, his walk with his swinging arms is spot on. Bodybuilding, or any general fitness is a good way to improve posture etc.

So there are 3 examples, look at all three if possible but the daddy of the walk is Sean, no one has bettered that walk on screen and it goes someway to his sex appeal. He was actually picked for the role of James Bond by a lady friend of Ian Flemming who said that he 'had it.' His walk was refined by the director of the first 3 Bond films Terence Williams and in his movies what you have is his effortless prowl as he glides on screen. Remember to pay attention to every aspect of his body as his walks and how he transitions from looking down to looking up etc.

[Ammendment]As someone mentioned below, with a walk you can command the place and attention of the social interaction because of what you project though your walk. So by starting of on the right foot as it were, you should see your success with women improve but more importantly an improvement in how people and groups in general percieve and form 1st impression of you. Also 'SoldmySoul,' mentioned walking slower, good advice Connery walks slow so be aware of every aspect of your walk and observe how others walk observation and imitation of good body language is the key to improvement.

Anyway thats it for today.:trouble:

Pretty interesting post! Walk the walk is a good tip. How you walks portrays an inner self confidence. Like my dad used to say, "When you walk in a room...walk in like you own it!" That has always stuck with me.

A good example of the walk is this. Watch Miami Vice 2006 w/ Colin Farrell. His walk is exactly how you should walk. He walks with confidence. Head up, shoulders erect, arms out a bit and back straight. Another I would like to add is something I have been doing. I am sort of a wide a$$ open type of a guy. I used to be way more hyper than now, but I have slowed my walk down some and this helps as well.

I definitely think that improving one's posture and walk is helpful, not just for DJ'ing but for your health.

One small, niggling point regarding Brad Pitt in Fight Club (and for those of you that somehow haven't seen it, this is a spoiler): you have to remember that Brad Pitt's character isn't even real, he's a conjecture, the ultimate masculine anti-hero. So he's over the top in his walk, attitude, sexual prowess, and fighting ability.

Of course, this is what I love about guys who misread that entire film. Pitt's character is not a hero, he's an overreaction... he's the kind of thing that happens when men take their masculinity too far.

Good stuff.
Shoulders back, arms slightly swinging, determined but careless look forth and like you're walking to somewhere and you know exactly where that is. One way to describe it.
