OK now this guy is saying that if you jump out of a building no matter how high you are if you die you are plugged into the matrix. He says that because of terminal velocity the worst should happen is you break your feet. Then a science teacher in the audience tells him he is wrong. any thoughts?

What the hell does this have to do with seduction? Although, lets just say for argument sake that the matrix is real. Wouldn't the BEST WAY to convince people that it wasn't real would be to make three blockbuster hits about itself? Thats what they did with vampires.

He's only saying it because you haven't found out for yourself you've been socially conditioned to think that it does, and he goes on to say that social condition is good in a lot of ways.

Listen to it again, and you'll understand.

NOOOO vampires were never real, werewolves just made up that fable to get the heat off there back and continue to conquer the world one bite at a time.

Try it and then write us a field report. If you don't we'll just assume your friend is right.

he is saying that you don't know if you will hurt yourself because you've never done it. Your relying on 2nd hand information.

you totally missed the point of that bit, which is fine because he didn't do a good job getting that point across

he's trying to show the difference between primary and secondary learning. how most of what we learn in life is NOT through our own experiences and because of that, is suceptible to social conditioning and all the errors that come with social conditioning. think of how that applies to your views on dating and on what you think women want

and whatever you do, don't jump off a building

lol

He is just showing us how social conditioning works and that it isn't all bad through giving us an example. Perhaps he is also showing us how easily it is to condition people through second hand experiance.

Is this worthy of a thread..?

It's funny how people always knock guru's. If you do not have anything better than tyler has to offer than stop hating.

that sounds just like when tyler says.."well show me what you can do with a guy in three days who can't get laid" fine i'm sure you do a good job but that doesn't mean I shouldn't question some of your statements. the point of him jumping out of a window is to not accept everything handed to you second hand. so don't tell me to act like a sheep becaue he is a guru when the whole point he is trying to make is not to. You make it sound as if i shouldn't question authority. you would have been a great soldier for hitler.

Which is basically the opposite of the point Tyler was trying to make.

Are you ChiliPalmer on rsdnation by the way? I thought this was funny:

Might want to look at "Aspergers Syndrome" on wikipedia.

Not being able to grasp the understading of metaphors after several instances of explanation is a symptom.

It's a form of autism.
