My opinion is that I think most men do not care about hair colour, it is more about having the look. Women often have more of an issue with hair colour, alot don't like blonds and won't even look at guys with ginger hair. [/B][/QUOTE]

Ha, ha I guess this is true. I also read women prefer men with dark hair because is signifies maturity and strength (I have dark brown, but so does 60% of my competition :D ) I guess that is also alot of red haired men are pissed off all the time.

Did you know that many hot blonde women in Scandinavia dye their hair darker colors? Dark brown and black are the most popular colors. A Swedish girl (from Sweden) I used to know confirmed my suspicions when I asked her about women there. Since everyone there is pink-skinned and bleach-blonde, they want to stand out by artificially darkening their hair. People just want what they don' have. End of story.

havent you guys noticed on mexican and south american soap operas that latin women usually change their hair color to some shade of blonde to some extent to attract the male audience and to give latin women a sense of stereotype to look up to . in the world blondes are looked upon as a sexual object more often as brunettes or red headed or dark haired women .

i personally wouldnt mind f ing a blonde but definetly not consider them for marriage material because they are the most liberal i prefer more down to earth women.

No it's not. What b_elusive_eyes just recounted was an example of a CULTURAL condition. The fair features are related to status...so therefore it is cultural, and doesn't necessarily indicate something happening on a instinctual level.

That's interesting. But then why is it that only 10% or so of caucasians are naturally blonde? Also, non-Caucasians make up 2/3 of the human population, and none of them are naturally blonde. What gives?
That's because Arabs, Middle Easterners, and Hispanics are sometimes thrown into the "Caucasian" category, and these areas have virtually no natural blondes. Caucasian is really a broad and undefined term. If on the other hand, the category was called "European", the figures that you got would be entirely different....and if it was "Northern European" doubtless blondes would be nearing the majority for sure.

Good point, when I was in Germany taking classes at a school, Swedish students were the largest group. I would say 75% (including the guys) were naturally blonde.

However, here in the states, blonde will still standout pretty much...since only maybe 1 in 4 chicks are some shade of blonde.

I dunno man... you wouldn't include people in the Middle East as Caucasians? I mean, geographically they are 'Asian', but they are undisputably caucasian. I think it would make more sense to group them with Europeans. Afterall, most people generally do not distinguish between Northern, Central, and SouthEastern Asians.

I still think that true blondes make up a small proportion of Caucasians, and even European whites.

Yea, I am sure Natural blondes probably only make up 5 to 10% of the European population. I know I mentioned earlier about t aot of Swedes being blonde...but my one Swedish friend says people in Sweden still call him "blondie". My guess is, blondes are still the minority even is Scandinavia. People must also realize the Slavic countries such as Poland, Ukraine and Russia have alot of blondes.

People from the Middle East belong to the Caucasion Race. They are alot darker (skin, eyes, hair) than Europeans, but their facial features are the mostly the same.

You didn't pay attention to what I said. Indeed, Middle Easterners ARE Caucasians, but they are not Europeans.

You said that most people cannot distinguish from a Northern Asian (Mongolian, Chinese, Siberian) from a South Asian (Vietnamese, Filipino), but I could. In the same vien, no Lebonese could be mistaken for a Belgian, Frenchmen, Czech. Some people think Caucasian is synonomous with European, but it is not. Europeans do not cluster with Middle Easterners. Even the Southern Europeans are closer to Central and Western Europeans than the Middle East.

I actually like Brunettes better I think because I see them as classier, more mature, smarter and there is less competition from other men. However, every girl I have even been infatuated with has been a blonde. Go figure.

Interesting topic.

I was just noticing last night, how many blondes were with guys who had very dark black hair.

I notice blondes with guys with guys with dark hair more than blondes with blonde haired guys.

Now I'm a guy with brown, but not real dark hair. Guess what type I seem to attract alot of?

REDHEADS

It is pretty interesting!

Opposites attract my friend. For example, if two guys who looked like Paul Walker (blonde-blue) and Ben Affleck were walking around in Sweden....Affleck would have an easier time attracting women....but if they were Spain or Latin Amercia....The Paul Walker look alike would have it easier. I know I hear alot of blonde guys complain and that their blonde hair is a vice.....maybe with blonde and light brown haired chicks...but that is it!! I have dark brown hair and I seem to get an equal amount of interest from both blondes and brunnettes. Red heads, huh...you never see too many of them around...but some are real HOT!

I see what you're saying now, Tiger. But still the question stands -- why bother separating Middle Easterners and Europeans -- who are both clearly Caucasian, when we're discussing the spectrum of hair colors across the Eurasian continent?

Btw, I beg to differ about Southern Europeans being closer to Western Europeans. I guess a blood sample/gene analysis would provide the ultimate proof, but visually, I say Italians and Southern Slavs (from the Balkans and below) share very similar characteristics to people from the Near East.

I lived in Italy for a bit, and with the exception of Italians from the extreme North (who had alpine features... think Austrian/Swiss), most had olive skin and dark-brown and even black hair. Many men had coarse, thick beards and 5 O' clock shadows like the Arabs do. Some had green/blue eyes, but most had hazel eyes.

The Spaniards follow an analagous pattern. They share many similar features with the Northern Africans, who are a mixture of African and Middle Eastern peoples. They are more isolated from other Souther European nations b/c they are far out west, but nonetheless they are dark. It's proof that there's been millenia of race-mixing with Africans and Euros, providing those intermediate features. Congruously, the same goes for Italy, Greece and the Near East. There has been a strong Turkic influence over the centuries in Southern Europe, with the rise and power of different empires.

So, I have to say that I strongly disagree. But don't get mad, they are just my opinions.

Supposedly, Greece, Southern Italy and Spain all of Arabic influence. However, your typical Italian does not really look like an Arab....however some do. They also say Sicilians have black blood in them and Spanish have alot of Moorish influence (Arabic).

However, I always wondered about certian Slavic peoples, especially Czechs, Russians and Poles. I can usually tell a Slav from a Northern or Western European. Most Slavs have similiar skin, eyes and hair color of the Northern and Westen Europeans but their facial structure is a little different. Most Slavs have the high cheekbone look....I wonder if that comes from the Mongol Influence when Ghengis Khan or the Mongolians had the largest empire in World History.

I have right now short blond highlighed hair aka charlene theron. It is very healthy though and I had to get it cut this short for a modeling gig, No not porno but a wrinkle cream.. Hey at least as a 30 something I am getting part time work. I have had no problems attracting men even men who love long hair like it on me, I think its because of my face and features, MY face and eyes are my best...But I do agree that long lusterous hair is pretty, but only if the girl has really good hair to begin with..

I just hate it when I see a guy with a great head of hair.. Makes me green with evny:)

But who knows in a few months, I might decide to grow it out again long and dark brown. Makes my blue eyes stand out.

BUt agreed straw, yuck! I have to condition mine to kingdom come on a weekly basis since it's so blond... sucks.

Gene analysis proof? I thought you'd never ask. Check out the link:
Racial Distances

As you can see, Southern Europeans (with the exception of Greeks and Cypriots) are quite far away from Palestinian Arabs (who are very close to Syrians, Lebanese, et. al. )

Strangely enough, the Spanish have marginally less Near Eastern influence than the Czechs, and a lot less North African than some of the Eastern Europeans. Isn't that surprising, considering their location. Basques are far away from everyone. Genetics is a wierd phenomenon but true.

Being myself Italian and Dutch descent, I'm not sure where I'd fall in.

Nonetheless, the Arabic influence in Southern Europe was VERY SUBSTANTIAL. No argument there. But the fact remains that in spite of a thousand years worth of (relatively recent) intermixing, Europeans still cluster with eachother.... some more than others of course, but the distinction remains.

checkmate.... you have the win. :) Can't argue with hard facts. Although, if you think about it, all things in academia are subjective opinions. Nonetheless, I'm convinced. But I can always change my mind if I find contradictory evidence....

But we are talking about appearances, after all. Although I would know the difference, an ignorant person would be more apt to confuse a Western Turk with a Spaniard or Italian than confuse an Italian with a Swede.

About blondes having more fun:

Supposedly they don't release as much pheromones, and by doing so don't block male pheromones. Therefore they can smell a male and get horny faster.....

Actually, blondes are not more fertile. If anything, they're the least. The highest birthrates actually are in Africa.

Blondness increases in a population if: 1) it lives north of the 50th parallel, or lives at a high elevation north of about the 40th parallel; 2) it does not subsist on Vitamin D-rich meat (like Eskimos, and to a somewhat lesser extent, Siberians and Lapps), and 3) it gets bitterly cold in winter (Norwegians who live on the coast where it's milder are darker than Swedes who live in a more extreme climate).

A survey on soldiers in WWII showed that blond soldiers had a lower incidence of frostbite than brown-haired soldiers. Apparently blue eyes also helps, but I don't exactly know how.

African Birthrates are messed up..a buddy of mine who is from the Ivory coast has like 12 brothers and sisters.

Many children increases the social status of a family.

The women are like PEZ dispensers over there its hilarious.
