Really dude? You think it was rare for a girl to give her number out back then? No, no...things are the same now as they were back then.

I don’t think it was rare. She is implying, via the title of the song, that doing so. back then, was risqué, or daring or such. I will say. It seems more common now. I have a GF and this week 3 girls have given me their number.

Dude it's a song. From a female POV. I barely listen to what they say IRL. This is like saying that women were less likely to destroy a man's car before that stupid country song where the chick gets her revenge.

Not only that but the past decade+ the trend is for female empowerment in pop songs.

Finally yeah women will do this but it's nothing new. Actually she just gives him her number. Some women will fukk a guy that night if the circumstances are right. I don't pay attention to "pills" but women are women. The whole "Chad" thing makes me laugh - I don't have a boogeyman.

For the vast majority, guys with good looks have way more social opportunities and even.if they are narcassistic know how to manipulate people to get out on top. Usually someone who treats someone like trash is after they got what they wanted and the person has no value to them. They can easily build up a new social circle or meet new people online so it does not matter even if they drive people away.
Yes it opens doors for them initially. That's obvious.

Those doors will be slammed in their face tho if they don't act congruently tho.

On the other hand, is there anything really new with that song. If you look into 80s pop, 90s or even 00s pop, isn't that the same implied thing? If you take Cyndi Lauper with "Girls' Just Want to Have Fun", or Banorama ("Love In the First Degree music video, I Hear a Rumour") where they have a bunch of chads/tyrones dancing around them showing their abs,e tc... these are all 80s music videos and how would that be different than the more comparatively recent Carly Rae Jepsen, assuming that point were true (ie which I think is debatable in and of itself since she uses "Brads" rather than "Chads" on her actual music videos when guys are shown around her).
