Well I just had a ****ty birthday!

Girlfriend didnt really make much effort in my opinion.

The present she got me didnt arrive in time (which isnt her fault)
she didnt make me a nice meal, or even take me for a meal anywhere
(because she hadnt saved any money up, even though she has a job and got
£400 this month)

The only thing she did is make me a cake!

Im really not one for birthday celebrations, but it would have felt nice to have her show bit more of a effort.

I told her that I am pissed off by it and she should have saved money up for the day, and now shes trying to make it better and dosent want me to feel this way, says when she gets money shell make it right and upto me and is so sorry I didnt have the birthday I wanted.

She was crying and stuff bla bla bla apparantly upset that I was upset and had a **** birthday!

Still pissed off though! How should I deal with it? Should I be distant for a while?

A lot of girls are this way.

If she has other redeeming qualities, I wouldn't hold it against her. It does take time & effort to make a cake. You're getting very close to over-reacting. You already told her you were pissed, she already cried and apologized, so it might be time to move on.

Something tells me there's more to this than meets the eye. How is she as a girlfriend in other ways?

She is good in all other ways, a few jealousy issues but she is actually doing well to resolve them.

I may be getting close to over reacting, it just pisses me off. I mean, one day of the year, and she cant save some money for it? Come on! If this was the other way round she would not be a happy bunny!

Id take it further......hes overreacting. She takes the time to make you a cake and you get p1ssed off and yell at her. That is the same mindset that liberals have......damn entitlement attitude. So what.....should she have gotten you a car pal?

I have to admit, that for even a 'non-milestone' birthday like 27 or 34, I like to at least get treated to dinner. I'm happy even if it's just sharing a McDonald's meal in a park.

You've said your piece though and got the proper response, so don't keep on about it. Make sure you smile and act totally chuffed when she does make it right.

Exactly! The cake she made was a fruit cake it literally takes less than half a hour!

Just pisses me off that she didnt plan anything or save money up for ONE DAY OF THE YEAR. I made her birthday special, so youd think someone whos close to you would want to do the same!

It's poor form to sacrifice your frame and make a big deal out of it. Sounds like you may have done that, and caused her to get emotional (cry)... but if you had you been more laid back and casually explained, "My birthday didn't seem very special to you, I'm a bit dissapointed" maybe she would have been more inclined to pay her dues naked.

I think you should limit your contact and be distant for a bit until she does something nice... when her gift arrives for you she'll probably try to meet up. Just don't get too angry if her gift sucks lol

You sound like you need some CRANBERRY JUICE because you are exhibiting PMS symptoms.

Really - get off the drama and neediness. You sound like an insecure man seeking validating that your woman still is attracted to you.

You also sound like a self-entitled man already - and you said Birthdays aren't that big of a deal (then why making it a big deal LOL)

If my LTR girlfriend took the time to bake me a cake, I would find that very sexy indeed. Women are poor planners and leaders, most of them can't plan things ahead for sh!t so don't put it against them if your present comes in late.

Most women are just girls in ADULT MEATSUIT. You owe her MAKEUP SEX, fook her really good and that will make it up for your present. Seriously, you sound like an arsehole what you did and becoming a DRAMA KING. Maybe she's a submissive type, but I feel sorry for her already being with you.

Happy belated Birthday, by the way (sorry I didn't give you a kiss, don't use it against me now LOL)

Fvck your birthday.

I'm sure you just lost attraction points for dragging your girl through the mud for this AFC fvckery. She should be Savin her money for herself and not for you. She made you a cake - what did you want a petting zoo and balloon clown for you and your boys? When you do something nice for her - do it because you want to - not because you expect something in return.

Next time tell her to Dress up in that little thing you like, get drunk, and f*ck her brains in.

/Birthday.
