It started with the iPod & iTunes. Then more PC users converted for the stability and sleek power of OS X. Then the smartly designed retail chains opened up. Now the good folks at Apple have outdone themselves with a pint-sized CPU for $500!

Check it out...

Slowly but surely, more people are discovering that Macs rule and PCs drool.

It figures you are a PC-lover. That would explain your lame-assed username.

For the record, I work with both Mac & PC for my job. AFter years of using both, I gotta say that Mac kicks PC's ass any day of the week. I have had my Powerbook for 3 years and it has NEVER crashed once! There is not a single PC user that can make that claim. You punks are still running your OS off DOS. LOL :p

Well at least your Dell comes with a display, and by the way so does a Game Boy. Hmmm, I guess your Mac can't even stand up to a Game Boy! :p

The power of packaging.

Apples were always better products, anyone in the arts or media will tell you that.

Then some bright spark decided to put them in translucent boxes and glowing LEDs.

The only thing stopping them is the sheer volume of MS application software.

A universe...where heartbreak and sadness have bee
And there's STILL no software for it :p

If you're going to use a non-mainstream operating system, use Linux. Mac is dead.

And WTF is the big deal with the iPod? MP3 players have been out forever...why does Apple's get so much press?

Oh yeah, by the way, these were out when I was looking for my PC a year ago:

Your ignorance is amusing. Minimac ships with OS X, the most powerful and stable operating system in the world. I could run both Windows AND Linux on this machine if I wanted to. But that would be like putting a Ferrari engine inside of a Gremlin!

I walk the streets and see more iPod headphones than any other kind! There is a good reason for this...Because iPod is blessed with superior design and marketing.

Just like there were MP3 players long before iPod came out, Apple just did it right. Do a side by side comparison between the Minimac, which is nothing short of a work of art, and that clumsy box of a PC. People respond to good design. Dont player-hate!

Whether you PC lovers want to admit it or not. Apple is starting to eat away at the Windows user base. I know more people everyday who convert because they love their iPods or are just tired of their junky PCs crashing and getting viruses all the damn time.

Did I mention that my Mac has NEVER crashed once or gotten a single virus?

Face it fools. PC stands for Piece of Crap.

While MAC products usually are designed and LOOK better, inside they are sh1t compared to PC's. I use both systems at work and am in Graphic Design/Computer Animation, and let me tell you, we have a LOT more problems with the MAC's then the PC's. How anyone can be such a MAC fanboy is beyond me. It's just a product, and a not a very good one at that.

The reason that the mac OS don't crash or doesnt get any viruses, is that it is as not widely used as the PC and the microsoft OS. If Macs were as widely used as PCs, they'd have viruses up the ying yang.

Funny. I also work in Graphic Design and Film Production. We use both platforms, but gradually the bosses are swiching over to Mac because we have zero problems with them. Also, it is ignorant to say they are sh!t inside compared to PCs when you consider that alot of their components are PC-based. Mac just knows how to integrate them a lot better, resulting in rock-solid performance and speed.

It's all semantics anyway. Even if the Mac hardware was inferior, I would still be swayed by the elegance and performance of OS X. Windows XP cant even touch it!

Wrong.

OS X has security features that prevent applications from running or installing themselves on your computer. Each time an app installs or runs for the first time, you have to enter your password, which is encrypted and impossible for a hacker to get unless they devoted countless hours attacking ONLY your computer! Virus attacks on a massive scale would be impossible.

PCs offer no protection at all...its like sticking your d!ck in the cesspool of a wh0rehouse everytime you go online!

Calm down dude, we're just discussing.
It seems like the card that Apple goes for is 'sleek design'. While some people may care about that, I couldn't care less. I care about performance and cost. I love my really big comp and its AMD 64 3000+, 1024 megs'o'ram and Geforce 6600GT. I don't see how a computer can be clumsy, it doesn't really move.
For me what matters is the performance, cost, OS and application support. So for my needs the PC costs less, performs better for the cost and has support for the applications that I need, not to mention that I can upgrade anything I wish by myself.
Let's do some side by side comparition. This is an eMac or something that I found on the apple site.
$999.00
1.25GHz PowerPC G4
256MB DDR333 SDRAM
80GB Ultra ATA drive
Now come on, how archaic is that? For my PC (AMD Athlon 64 300+, 200 gigs of disk, geforce 6600gt etc.) I paid a little over a thousand dollars. Now in which way is the mac better?
And what's with people saying it's better for image editing and design? How?

dont you really think that that could be bypassed if like 90% of all the people used Macs, instead of PCs as they do today?
