BF% or Mass?

Okay, this is my situation. I am 6'1 and weigh 162 LBS. I just bought a combination scale/BF% analyser and it told me that my BF was 24%. While I am hardly fat by any definition, I certainly am not buff either. So my question to the experts out there, should I concentrate first on lowering my BF% and the raising my weight/mass or should I do the reverse? Or is this not even a concern?

Your abit skinny so I'd bulk then cut. 24% sounds very high, do some caliper test too to make sure.

digital BF scales are crap, they're only good for saying whether you are losing or gaining fat by averaging the readings, but they tend to flucutate too much to rely on them...get some calipers or take a dunk test if you really want to know. only thing that really matters is the mirror.

No way you have 24% bf if u weigh 162 lbs at 6'1..you probably have way less..btw those scales that analyze your bodyfat are far from accurate most of the time. If you say you look fat by no means and youre satisfied with the way your abs looks (as in its not a 6pack yet and well theres a bit fat, but it doesnt look flabby) go for bulking..I cant really tell cause I havent seen you before, but 162 at 6'1 sounds definetly like you want to bulk not cut and cut later after youve gained some muscle to make em look harder...if you think your stomach is too flabby and you dont like going to the swimming pool because of it start a cutting diet, but Im PRETTY sure bulking is what you should go for.

im also 6'1''. i wigh 185 pounds and the ladies love it. definatelly bulk my friend. im a former skinny guy too, in fact, im still bulking, i cant seem to get big enough. i was 140 at our height and that was skinny!!!

eat eat eat/lift very heavy 3 days a week.
