I have yet to be convinced of this. I'm not saying that women won't be aroused by the "uncaring jerk", but to say that he leads to the greatest arousal? I know that's what a lot of people around here say, but I have yet to be convinced of it. Now maybe when some "uncaring jerk" manages to steal my girlfriend or convince her to cheat on me I'll consider it as evidence.

You're a college age guy, I assume? Most of the women I deal with are in their thirties. I think there's some truth to the idea that girls tend to grow out of this fascination for the bad boy as they get older. A lot of the time, the "bad boy" is just a loser with no future.

That's why the DJ forum does not directly advise you to completely emulate the bad boy, just to take his most attractive qualities and mix them with yours.

You know I just responded to that Jersey Shore thread, it's a good example. Like them or loathe them, they get laid. Despite they act trashy, classless, vapid, and unselfconscious... of perhaps is it because of it? I think oldschool DJ thought says that their confidence, relaxed attitude, living in the moment, fun, and being in shape is what attracting them.

You've got it right, I think. Part of it is all those people on that show are just young, including the girls. That's what's important to them, the fun and the partying. People tend to grow out of that some too. I'm not saying they stop wanting to party ever, but it becomes less important, and isn't the focus anymore.
