Whey Protein. Nitrotech is overpriced and not anything special. Not really too sure about muscle milk, but if you're worried about fat that is definitely not the alternative. Whoever told you muscle milk burns fat.. well I'd like to know their explanation.

Optimum Nutrition sells Whey that has low fat, carbs, sugar, and plenty of protein.

I've recently looked in Casein- a slow digesting protein.

Obviously, you can't beat whey for post workout shakes, but Casein will digest slower (releases amino acids over a period of seven hours), making it more suitable for bedtime shakes and maybe as a meal replacement.

The slower burning protein will help prevent a "protein crash" (similar to a suagr crash).

And if I'm correct, Muscle Milk is made partly from Casein, which helps explain its effectiveness in building up muscle. Not sure about fat burning though...

Protein is protein. Switching from one protein shake to another will not give you a jump in "producing muscle." Protein is not a steroid, and neither is Nitrotech. Either you're getting your daily amount of needed protein or you're not. Or you're shoveling out the extra $20 to get basically the same thing.
