Being straightforward with her?

Hey everyone,

A couple nights ago I met this amazing girl who pretty much satisfies everything I look for in a girlfriend. She was cute, funny, down to earth, etc. We connected really well and danced for most of the night at some party, but halfway through the night my friend told me she's had a boyfriend for over a year (he's a year younger and goes to the same university as me and her).

I know you guys will say I should probably move on, and I understand that, but say I wanted to try to win her over and get her as my girlfriend. What would be the first steps toward doing this? Btw she's a good girl, and I know for a fact she would NEVER consider cheating.

On a hunch I'd say be straightforward. As a result, probably get a straightforward rejection.

Then leave her alone for some time & forget about her.

I had a "good girl" that "never would cheat" too, and what happened: she said "uh oh erm you know I can't I have a boyfriend", then I said it's okay, and left her alone. What happened? After 2 months she broke up with her boyfriend and came back to me. Anyway our short relationship was kind of awkward after that and we broke up soon after. And she returned to her ex.

Trying to take a girl away from her BF will result in frustration of one kind or another. No go for a trust-based relationship.

Straightforward tends to work for me. If you are straightforward then the worse that happens is she says "No" and you move on.

I think what I'm going to do is just keep being myself and being a little flirty around her. I wanna demonstrate to her that I would be way better of a bf than the one she has now. Obviously I'll have to avoid getting thrown into the friend zone, but I think I can do that by just using kino on her.
