I wear glasses, a plain shirt, plain jeans and black shoes. That's how it's been the past 10-15 years really. I am 29 now and still believe that people think automatically I'm a nerd without a lot to offer..

What are some ways I can sort of express myself so people don't pre-judge me. People tell me a lot that I'm hilarious but "I had no idea something that funny / dirty would come out of your mouth?"

Maybe with clothing ? Accessories?

Where can I shop? What are some good online stores maybe?

I tried tribal hollywood but it's pretty damn expensive.

What do you guys wear when you go out?

Addition: I basically want to look like I f*** all the time. I'm in and out of the gym, consistency working out has been a problem for me but I'm working on that. I remember Mystery asking the guys in the first or 2nd episode... "Do you guys think you look sexually active?" - They all said No...

people will pre-judge you no matter what, but have you ever considered working out and going to the gym?

i wear the same type of clothes all the time, and they are a bit shabby too because i dont care much about clothing, but women seem to notice me just because i am in decent shape. i think if you have built yourself a decent body a lot of times whatever you wear will not matter much as long as its not ridiculous.

i often see people focusing on things like clothes, and hair and style but they neglect to work on their actual body which is most important.'

dont wear douchy stuff cause you feel its what is expected, just wear a polo type shirt and jeans and if you are in decent shape you should be fine.

It sounds to me like you just do not care about your appearance at all.
The point is not to care about it so that people will like you, no, but you must care about it to put yourself on a pedestal. Wear what you truly think looks "cool" so that you may think higher of yourself.

I do not wear clothes that are considered "cool", but chicks dig what I wear.

Know why?

I wear stuff that is different because I LIKE the way it looks.

If you are trying to look cool for other people, you look terrible.

That is rule number one.

Maybe SoSuave needs a fashion section.

Yeah, my fashion sense depends on the weather. My screen name was partly influenced by how I dress up at night because the weather is cooler and I can wear my sport jackets and such. When it's hot outside, I really can't wear much other than shorts and a t-shirt with some random accessory. You have to take some time out and have a "dress-up" day and see what looks good ON YOU. It sounds really girly, but you don't want to end up looking like trash/nerd/loser when you go out.

For instance, I can't really wear standard tees because of my slim figure, so I have to stick with the longer tees with the shorter sleeves. Same thing with jackets, you just have to try one on and judge for yourself.

I think a fashion section would be a good idea since your appearance helps tremendously with getting your foot in the door.

Jackets have always been my game. That's why I love the fall. I buy jackets like women buy shoes. I don't care how much I have to pay, I consider it an investment.

A sick jacket with a white t-shirt underneath, jeans and boots is my game, and it's worked out handsomely.

Dude subtle switches can fix your style.. Instead of a plain tee shirt go with a black V neck..

Black V neck, I wear relaxed fit jeans but my legs are huge, see what works for you.

I cut my hair off so I am rocking a hat similar to this one http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl...jJFUPneIsaBqgGtooDgCw&ved=0CDIQ9QEwAg&dur=251 (thank google for the funky link)

Sometimes I add a watch to the mix sometimes not.. either way plain is kind of in right now and flashy is kind of out. Mind your shoes. Currently I still wear some biker boots I have had for years but am looking to upgrade to a pair of nice brogues like these. What you wear on your feet is important for women... I don't know why and they probably don't either, but I have had this talk with women and it's important.. get nice shoes.

You could rock that style pretty much anywhere.

Wow, these are awesome responses guys. I love when people are not just saying stuff like "dude get a life, quit worrying about what others think." I dont care what others think, I'm dressing for me, I just need to get some extra $ and buy a few things that I'm comfortable wearing that aren't so bland.

MisterD, got any google images or anything of some jackets you buy? Or where you buy 'em?

HalfAddict, excellent idea with V-necks shirts. It's damn hot here in Dallas.

Looking like you want to...and know how to...have sex is WAYYY more important than negging, passing sh!t tests, and having a social circle put together. If you don't look like you can thrown down you will never get the chance to do so.

First, get a girl to show you what looks best on you. She can be a friend, sister, cousin, whatever. But they have an eye for these things and will help you make your first steps.

After that concentrate on fit. If you are an American guy you PROBABLY wear your clothes too baggy. Go for a slimmer fit with jeans and shirts. Not quite skinny jeans but straight leg or bootcut is a good start. Dark denim over any other color.

Cast out the regular t-shirts for Polos, Henleys, button downs (pearl clasp shirts are in now but I've always had a couple), and vnecks. Colors depend on your skin coloring and eye color. Try to combine light pants with dark shirts and vice versa for some extra flavor.

ONE piece of jewelry is good. An understated watch, a cool necklace, or some beads will add a little extra something.

Short hair over long hair. I don't agree with it but if you're playing the numbers game most women prefer short hair. But if you can pull off long hair go for it.

Chukka boots, oxfords, boat shoes with shorts, and, if you must wear sneakers, try Converse chucks or purcells or addidas sambas/superstars.

Edit: This is a starting point. To get you thinking about what looks good on you. Try and discard if it doesn't work.

Men frequently err by talking too much. They often monopolize conversations, droning on and on about topics that bore women to tears. They think they're impressing the women when, in reality, they're depressing the women.

I would actually suggest medium hair, and facial hair a five o clock shadow/well trimmed short length beard.. I know this dude is a lame but his looks alone get women wet.

http://www.google.com/imgres?hl=en&...=79&start=0&ndsp=59&ved=1t:429,r:20,s:0,i:203

Same with this dude here, http://www.google.com/imgres?num=10...=87&start=0&ndsp=61&ved=1t:429,r:18,s:0,i:194

If you must go short, go really short. Like this fellow http://www.google.com/imgres?hl=en&...124&start=0&ndsp=58&ved=1t:429,r:22,s:0,i:140 or this fellow http://www.google.com/imgres?hl=en&...=98&start=0&ndsp=58&ved=1t:429,r:38,s:0,i:193

You just gotta figure out what works for you.

And chucks are freakin awesome FairShake, that is a shoe that can go with pretty much any look.

The bulk of them I get from Macy's. There's one I own, from American Rag, it looks just like James Dean's jacket from rebel without a cause except it's black, and little more modern. I get compliments on it all the time. American Rag and INC both have some killer jackets. I'm sure H&M has some good ones, Guess has some nice ones too. Basically any trendy, popular clothing line nowadays has some nice jackets.

Some ideas of what I'm talking about

http://shop.guess.com/Catalog/View/...Fleece-Denim Jacket in Creek Wash/M23N08D0SR0

Something like this, but in black or grey

http://www.ssense.com/men/product/g_star/taupe_cm_recolite_jacket/54577

Macy's has been a gold mine for me. They are really affordable too. Some high end designers will have you paying $200-$300 for a jacket but Macy's has a great collection for usually under $100.

Unzipped with a plain, white v-neck t-shirt underneath? And some killer boots, can't go wrong.

When it comes to jeans, I'd also suggest Levi's 501 Originals. I find denim to be the hardest thing to buy. Finding the right fit is torture for me. The 501 originals fit like a jean should fit. Snug, but not questionably tight. They're a straight leg, so no worry about it being tight on your thighs but not your calves, or vice versa. They just hang straight down.

It's not always what you wear but how you wear it. You have to wear clothes that fit your body. I'm short, so when I wear shorts in the summer, there is a huge difference between shorts that hang just below my knee (making me look like my legs are half the length they really are) and shorts above the knee, which make me look taller.

It's all about knowing your body and how to compliment it. If you wear t-shirts that are loose and baggy, you may look sloppy. If you wear them to where they sit at your waist, where the button of your jeans are, and it shows off your v-shape, you look sharp. Minor things like that are what set you apart. Anyone with money can buy nice clothes, but it's all in how you wear it
