The mastery series just rehashes and expands on advice from his first book.

the ideas in those books are basically the same. If you want to read a good article that sums it all up and gets strait to the point, read the gunwitch method. you can find it in the tips section of the forum. It is fvcking brilliant.

Is doc loves book available at bookstores? Just curious, because most of his stuff you can learn right here, but I would like to spend an afternoon reading the whole thing in a barns n noble/borders etc.

No, it's only available online, but you can preview it for 30 days before deciding to buy it.
