howdy,
i've been swinging back and forth between thinking that i can really do this and thinking oh god, how'm i ever going to do this.
but TWO things keep me from despair - consolation prizes that are my 'safety net' if i fail completely and miss the window of opportunity afforded to me.
1. matchmaking services... i found this one from a book that i got http://www.itsjustlunch.com/ ... it's $1500 a year and they set you up on a couple of dates a month for the year. it's not a negligible expense but it could keep you from slitting your wrists.
2. go caveman on the process and cash in your citizenship. it is LITERALLY the modern day equivalent of taking a big stick and whacking a chick over the head with it and dragging her off to your cave. but if it keeps you from slitting your wrists, it's a good thing right?
