Train hard, eat smart, sleep 7,5-9 hours daily and you will become impressive
so i should stop eating 5000cals a day?

Good progress man. you gotta find the right combo/timing of macro nutrients that work for you. Everyone's body is quite different. That being said, there are general guidelines.

I'd definitely eat more...more calories mean your metabolic rate will be higher, that means you'll have a much easier time getting lean. Lotsa protein/healthy fats, etc.

Good job so far.

EFFORT ya you should...drop it to like 1500! Cause otherwise you might cause your kidneys to explode AND get fat at the same time...now that would suck to be a fatty with exploding kidneys. You'd like get NO chics that way! :D

5000kcals is insane. Soldiers in their basic training in europe get 3500 a day, and that training is aimed for getting muscles with real strength, mass and stamina.
And eating more wont fasten your metabolism. More muscle mass is fastening your metabolism

I eat ~5k to maintain my weight of 240. guess I'm insane. :D

Incidentally I was in the army, in Europe, for 26 months - we sure as hell didn't get 3500 cal a day nor was our training aimed for growing muscles. Fitness and stamina yeah - weight, no.

Maybe you are a genetic Monster, who knows ;) Fact is the 99,9% non genetic monster will get fat eating 5000. And where in europe and when did you serve? maybe i was your instructor

This is me dieting on 2500-3000 cals. I'm around 5'8" and was 165-168 for the shoot. Didn't do any cardio for like 3-4 days before the shoot so I'm still pretty soft. I was taking in 200-250 g protein as well....I hope I didn't get bilateral pylonephritis...ipsilateral would be ok tho! :D

Can you comment on differential thermogenic effect of macronutrients on metabolic rate? Like say the difference between the thermic effect of carbs vs. protein...Also what about macronutrients dosing and timing affecting hormonal control of metabolism?

Served in Crete and Cyprus.. and this was some years ago. lol.

Mace, believe it from someone who knows personally.. the warboss is definately not a 'muscular' guy just 'keeping weight' at 5k. Not to mention that all the healthy foods he talks about.. he never eats.

And his knowledge of 'weightlifting' and 'healthy diets' comes from all his enormous amounts of free time that he has to read books. Tata.
