Been off the site for a bit but miss this kind of quality discussion. Many men and women do not want freedom because it scares the shît out of them, so they must rely on that special someone to tell them they matter and give them importance. I can't recommend marriage to anyone in this day and age. But in some respects I could see that if you were incredibly wealthy, you might be able to get away with it.

Look at Paul McCartney for example, here's a guy who had one of the largest divorce settlements ever. But the truth is he was worth $500 million, and she got $50 million. Did she deserve any of it? Hell no. But he still has $450 million left, is he really going to miss that money? Point is he could afford the divorce because he was rich, and even after the settlement he's still in a great position.
