First of all, Michigan did drop, USC was #2 until they lost to UCLA this weekend. Secondly, OSU will kick the **** out of Florida. Theres not a single team in the NCAA that can compare with the talent on the OSU and Michigan squads. Yes, Ohio will pass and run all over florida. Look what they did to Michigan who is one of the best defenses in the league. The only team comprable to OSU is Michigan, and those two should be fighting for the National Championship. Sure, Michigan had a chance before, but Florida has none.

Get your facts right. Michigan did not drop. USC simply leaped them the next week.

Okay I like your spirit but you have to be somewhat realistic about this situation. Michigan was idle for two weeks after losing to OSU for their conference champioship, which pretty much ended their season early so florida got an extra game on them. That's why both USC and Florida jumped them in the polls. The coaches and people voting (as i suspected they might) voted florida in for two reasons. 1. They are regional champions. You can't give a close call to the team that's not a champion even if their one loss was their championship game and 2. Nobody wanted a rematch. That double jeporday thing was not going to happen and everybody knew it or should have. Extra game to impress voters that's also a championship game and a rematch was what got florida the number two spot.

Also let it be known that Michigan has the best defense in NCAA football period. In additon to their game against OSU, only one other team put up 100 yards rushing against them. Some of their oppnents only had 12 or 16 total yards and an abysmal 130 or so yards passing for less the 200 yards of total offence. The only close call they had during the year was Penn State who they beat 17-10. They were the only team to come within 7 points of Michigan all year until Ohio State rolled them. None of that can be said about florida.

One thing to be a fan but another not to at least respect your opponants.

Your right, Penn State was the only team to come within 7. They were also the only halfway decent team they played. Ball State came within 8 and Michigan needed a late TD pass dropped to beat them. BALL F.UCKING STATE! Florida had a team similar in caliber, named Western Carolina. Maybe you remember that game? 62-0 Florida.

Michigan put those numbers up against pansy teams all year long. Thats why OSU ran up 42 on their asses. How many points did LSU ring up on Florida? Let me refresh your memory. 10.

Okay we can go back and forth about who's better coming up with examples of why which of us is right, but many of the coaches who voted florida in said it would have been a different story if the wolverines were in a different conference.

I like the SEC. Remember I'm a Tennesse fan but I don't make excuses for the teams they lost against (two sqeakers and rough loss to Arkansas). They had a tough schedule and they came up short. What I am saying is Michigan's schedule was in no way cake. Ball State was not the only decent team they played, even if you don't agree, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Iowa, Indiana, N'western, are all decent programs. Again I'm not going to argue that it's the hardest schedule in football but to win all those games against high profile schools by more then 7 points for all is definalty the signs of good defense. Lets also not discuss floridas non confrence oppents. That 62 point shut out they had was also polled by USA Today as their and I quote "Least impressive victory". They played some tough teams but had more then one nail biter too. People were able to move the ball on them and keep the preasure up.

The sum of all this is don't be too overconfident on the Florida D to hold a team like OSU to a very low score. Leak will definatley have to show up and be good for at least 3 TD's in the air and their running game is going to have to provide as well.
