okay here's the scoop: so I was talking to this chick I met on an online dating site. I got her phone number and we became facebook friends. I called her (second or third call) and tried to set up a date but she was busy that day. I make a few more calls to set up date but she is busy with work. chick doesn't really call me back and doesn't respond to every facebook message exchanged. I take these signs as indicators of disinterest. I delete her from my facebook and haven't called her in 2 or 2.5 weeks. I get a text from her saying "hey what's up? haven't heard from you in a while". That was yesterday. I still haven't called her and don't really know where I wanna take it from here. Should I text her back "who is this?" and then we she texts me back I'll say "just kidding - I know who this is". Should I mention anything about her not seeming interested? or just avoid it altogether? should I say I mistakenly deleted her off of my facebook?

Ah, disinterest is a powerful tool indeed. It seems like you appeared too desperate to begin with, which is probably why she ignored you. Avoid that in the future.

On the other hand, good job turning it around, she noticed your lack of attention. I've heard the "Who is this?" line work very well in some cases, but I'm not sure when followed up with a "just kidding". Don't feel compelled to use it if you arent comfortable. She knows what she did, you know what she did, don't obsess over it, but don't pretend it never happened.

A DJ has a lot of things to do, a lot of people to hang out with, and is always busy. He doesn't have time for flakes and teases. Give her your attention back slowly, but make her earn it. Keep this in mind and you should be golden.


As a side note, she won't believe you "accidently" deleted her off facebook. She'll probably think you're trying to make up excuses to please her. A solid C/F attitude could work, provided you arent a d*ck
