Bachelor Pad - Check out mine

Hey guys, I'm new here, 25yr old single bachlor

Just bought a 2 story townhouse and want to deck it out starting with living room.

Here's my bedroom

My backyard, I'm having a deck put in

I want to start decorting my living room.
Here's teh color I painted the room

The living room I'm going to put some real contemporay type furniture with a plasma when I get the cash

Anyone have any pictrues I can view to get some ideas?

get some new blankets and bed sheets. that sh1t is lookin granny smith style. might as well put a damned quilt on it.

well you pad is nice
i can give you a few suggestions

in the bedroom , you have nothing over your bed.
now you can choose a mirror thats nice
or a picture, something artsy
and if you are into art , check out micheal godard
we adore his work (we have some )

in the living room , it seems you have a notical theme going on
so stick with it, its manly.
you can get a fake cheap antique looking map for about 3 bucks and frame it (we have one)
you can get alot of things that look nice for next to nothing at places like big lots or the dollar store that you wouldnt guess would be there.

funny thing is , the godard art work would match your living room so well but its so expensive.

I dont have that comforter on my bed anymore, got something a bit nicer.

Downstairs i have a dark mexican tile. Should I spend the $ and put down light wood floors?

godard is expensive but we got his coaster set and took some cheap shadow box frames and put them in it. they look so cool.

mexican tile is cool, i wouldnt waste the cash right now on changing the flooring if you dont have to.
if you want, get a rug to make it softer.

i dunno where to link you to.
we picked up one when we visited a fort on vacation for like 3 bucks . it looks so antique. i picked up a wooden frame at walmart for 4 bucks. it rocks.
i got a similar fake antique declaration of independence on a different vacation seeing lincolns boyhood home for like 2 bucks.

bet you could look on ebay or just google it.

Thanks guys, I think I'll save the money and stick with the mexican tile for now, however I will get a rug in the living room as you mentioned.

I'm going to be working on the living room and then move into the kitchen.

I think I'll go with a sofa and a badass coffee table and a nice tv set. Some nice lamps and plants will go well also.

Any ideas on fake plants vs real. The article on this site says to stick to real plants, I dont know about that.

I'd like to see pictures of others bachlor pads, anyone?

i like fake plants cause i kill real ones

with fake, you never have to worry about proper water or sunlight

and you can get any kind not just types that grow well in your area

alot of my fake ones dont look fake
i get them cheap at walmart or the dollar store to save money

as for art, check out some local flea markets. sometimes they have some nice new prints of paintings for low cost.
also check out ebay

Heres what I have added in the past few days, I'll post pictures soon:

Bike rack pulley: mount my mountain bike up on the cieling and out of the way, looks cool - pulley system

Old Pirate looking map of the carribean, need to get the wood frame.

Small basketball hoop to go up on the wall with a soft basketball to shoot around when I'm bored.

Bimini Ring Game - a cool bar game where you toss a ring onto a small hook, should keep my guest occupied.

--going shopping today

Looking for plants and such, gonna check out kmart to see what I can find.
