Far be it from me to give you advice (I have no kids myself) but you may have to lay the situation out a bit better before people start throwing their 2, 3, and 4 cents in.

She's bipolar like a mothaf*cker!

She'll never be truly happy, no matter if some rich dude comes along and sweeps her off her feet... which is what happen. I guess a year later, they butting heads now too. I could never live with her, this I know, but she does seem to favor me over him all this time.

We've since moved on, but talk everyday on matters concerning my son.

Her family (even her Dad, which is shocking) wants us together again but man...
She's a head case with that bipolar.

She did give me one beautiful son.

Don't always be the one putting yourself out for her. Don't always be the one putting all the effort and work into the relationship. Let her, and expect her, to treat you as well as you treat her, and to improve the quality of your life.

No, I'd keep it on friendly terms[which it won't be when she drives you crazy and YOU leave her]. As long as she left you, she'll be nice to you-don't ever think you have the right to leave her[little princesses they all are]. SHE'll ride her broom all around your life if it isn't her idea to end it.
