Attraction Is Not A Choice??

David mentioned this a lot of time and he say that in order to create attraction, we have to understand how it works. There's really no canned techniques to this thing. but the problem is that he been mention this over and over again, but he still doesn't tell the people how does attraction works?

so how does it work? how do i make women attracted to me?

Physically attracted? I'm of the belief that either they (or you) are or you aren't. Sorry, but if a 250 lb girl tried to pick me up, it doesn't matter how much game she's got - there's no way I'm going to do anything other than walk away. Best bet is to get yourself in shape physically, tan some, get those teeth whitened, dress well, and groom as necessary...

In a nutshell, David D's theory is that you have to be ****y and funny to create attraction. He believes that politely knocking an HB off her high horse, she will seek you out, because you are different from the hundreds of other guys that hit on her everyday.

I believe it doesn't hold much water in the face of attraction, for a number of reasons.

1) Everybody and their dog is doing it now - ****y and funny. It is nothing special

2) It has been going on for a long time between the sexes and in a friendly context. The girl thinks it's fun to flirt, but has no interest beyond that, while the guy of course wants her ASAP.

As you get more experience, you'll realize it comes down to something physical, and some chemistry in terms of personalities. Remember first though, there has to be some sort of physical attraction. It could be as simple as a unique smile or just about anything that can be enhanced or enhance your personality.

He says looks aren't important but don't get him wrong, you have to make sure you've got your shiat together. Get rid of the stuff that repel women like your nasty pot belly, bad breath, fukked up teeth, awful hairdo, sloppy clothes and sh!tty hygeine.

It is clear as soon as the word "attraction" is used we all start to think about physical attractiveness. That may play a vital role in attraction but if that was it why would anybody date anyone that wasn't exactly equal in appearance. Theoretically, no one would date anyone less attractive then themselves and no one would date them if they were less attractive. It isn't that simple.

The word "attraction" in the phrase "Attraction isn't a choice" is about a feeling and not about how one looks. In order to think about this idea usefully it is best to drop that idea all together.

It can be thought of in many ways but one of the most useful is the paraphrased idea,

Once a girl is not attracted to you there is nothing anyone can do to change her mind. You can argue all you want but it can't be undone through some logical process.
Once a girl is attracted to you even she cannot make herself unattracted.

Just think how hard it is to get over oneitis. Maybe a better way to think about this phrase is "Living with oneitis is not a choice"
Once you get a serious case of oneitis it's like kicking smoking.

Problem is you can't tell what a person's personality is right away. I use to think it was shallow to approach a women based on her looks, however I realized that's the only real thing you can knowledge about her at first. If you're with some women just because you enjoy her physique, then that's shallow.

I have to disagree with ya 'D'. I don't know how many times I've heard women say 'he's not good looking, but there's something about him', or 'he's not my type, but there's something about him'. In fact, just the other day I heard a girl make a comment about Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit guy). She said "he's fat and he's ugly, but something about him makes him hot" Makes no sense huh?

Guy's have it 'easier' then most girls, the problem is, they don't realize it. Guy's are physical, so if a girl is, as you say, a fat cow, she's got no chance. On the other hand, if a guy isn't desirable to a girl, as far as looks go, he can still get the girl (or at least make her feel attraction for him) IF he knows how to play the game.

I'm not sure how common it is, or how many guys use it, but it does work, believe me.

I don't disagree that it's easier for a more unattractive guy to get a more attractive girl. I guess I haven't come across too many people who say "He's not really my type, but there's something about him"... Perhaps I'm just a cynic. My first reaction when you brought up what your friend said about Fred Durst was to question if she'd still feel the same way about him if he wasn't a super-rich and ultra-famous rock star. After all, is she dating a fat and ugly 'normal' guy right now?

I'm getting mad by just reading all these ignorant posts. Most of you have the wrong idea about Dave's approach and attraction itself. How about reading more than 2 of Dave's newsletters before write?
First of all by "Attraction is not a choice" he's talking about women. Women are different than men when it comes to attraction. Men are attracted by looks, while women by personality. Its that simple, it doesnt say anywhere that it doesnt matter how a GIRL looks like, it doesnt.
Second, ****y & funny is just part of the whole approach. There's also confidence, doing things on your own terms, being unpredictable, teasing, etc.
His strategy is a very powerful one that not only helps one on the dating aspect but on ones own personality.

Looks IS what gets your foot in the door, and is so with women.

When she says 'something about him', ask her if it is something about him that she finds physically attractive when he says something a certain way or reminds her of someone she used to like etc. He may not be OVERALL appealing to her, not in the least sense in terms of what she considers attractive, but it only takes one outstanding dominate trait for some women.

Personality for women is way overplayed. It makes the dude who doesn't care about his appearance feel more confident with women. David D makes a bunch of money off guys with low confidence. He just gets them to go out and say something.
