Ate my first Mc'Donals Burger after 6 years

The only thing that one could even name a "taste" was the sauce.

The Bread was as good as printing paper.

The meat was just warm and soft. If it had a taste, the weak and mild taste of the sauce was more intense.

Worst investment in my life.

Subway seems to remain the only fastfood i can go for when in desperate need.

Regarding the meat they put in there, I heard its leftover from meat factories meaning bones and tendons broken and made again into burgers.

Is that true?

The McChicken and the McNuggets are about 50% actual meat. The rest of the cells, when examined by a lab recently, originate from mostly the inner skin of the chicken, the rest is tendons.

Here's an experiment. Go buy a big mac. wrap it in newspaper and hide it in your closet. Six years later, go out and buy a new one.

Then upwrap the one in your closet. compare the two. Mix them up, and see if you can tell the difference. do a blind taste test.

then report the results back.

I agree, the only thing McDonald's has going for them is their special sauce. Mayo, french dressing and pickle relish.
My problem with Subway is their cuts of "meat." Just look at the slices. Processed cow lip, pig anus sodium filled cuts of deli meat. It is not the same deli meats you buy at the grocery store.

As for subway its....well i used to work there and we pissed in the sauce for sh!ts and giggles.

Whatever the case may be, god pless Subway and McD's! Without them, I'd have a REALLY hard time trying to find something edible in China. I love their burgers man, if they were healthier I'd eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I'll take a subway sub over a bunch of fuvkin noodles and rice any day of the week.

I remember reading about conspiracy theorists saying they changed their name from Kentucky Fried Chicken to KFC because they stopped using chicken, and started using genetically engineered protein, so legally they had to take "chicken" out of their name.

I had some free range chicken last year that a farmer friend killed himself. His wife baked it with a handful of rosemary; best chicken I ever had. I don't think I even put salt on it.

Sure man but I don't like noodles or rice for breakfast, lunch and dinner and my eyes aren't slanted. I'd prefer italian but good luck finding that here without shelling out major $$$.

I had McD's yesterday and I will report that it was good eatin. I never ate McD's at home... infact I think I had probably gone something like 5 years without eating it but China has driven me back into their arms. So, yeah basically thats how bad Chinese food truly is... when you start looking at a burger and fries as a good meal. When faced with Chinese food vs Western Junk, the west wins out EVERY SINGLE TIME. Christ I'd even eat KFC over anything Chinese and I can count on two hands the number of times I've been there.

I wish McDs would sell like a two burger combo, I don't want those fries or that sugar water. Here its 15 ($2.50) rmb for a burger, and 19 ($3) for fries and a drink included... they must cost absolutely nothing to make.

BK is also damn good, runs about 15 rmb for the burger, fries and drink ($2.50)... Sure you can eat a bunch of Chinese garbage in a bowl of wet for $1 but it sure as hell ain't appetizing.

I also personally don't take any stock in the ingredients listed on the food packages. Why would anyone believe that food companies are telling the truth? Do you think the USDA is actually able to ensure that the food corporations are truthfully listing ingredients?

Good point. There was the recent "Extra Virgin Olive Oil" scandal, where distributors were buying cheap oil, adding some flavoring, and relabeling it "extra virgin olive oil" and they got away with it (and likely still are to a large degree) without anybody knowing about it.

Now every time I buy olive oil, I'm skeptical. It's not like I have a testing lab to verify the ingredients. What I'm buying for my health might end up killing me.

But I also don't have my own olive grove, so I'm kind of screwed. I just read some article about the crap that wheat has morphed into over the past few decades (or more specifically an artificial protein within wheat), and how regular bread is worse than heroin.


Just another nail in the coffin of humanity, I reckon.

I think most fast food is pretty bad now and overpriced. I have bought a meal there just a few times this year and from what i remember it was pretty bad. I mostly just buy a coffee now at mcdonalds.
