Asking girls out that you will have to see even if they say no?

So what do you guys suggest about asking girls out that are either in your class or in your dorm.( im in college) The reason why I ask is because if they say no then you get to be that guy for the rest of the semester and if she says yes and you have her wanting you every second you can't avoid her because you will have to see her anyway. Any ideas?

Edit: after thinking about this I think you guys are going to tell me that looking at it like this is AFC.

I thought the same way you did when I first started college. But let me tell you my experience, if you play it cool then they you can still be cool with them. But if you keep thinking that you're 'that guy' then it will show and make you seem creepy.

So should i go ahead and ask them out? Obviously I can only pick a certain few b/c then everyone will know that i ask everyone out. But the way you put it I may get put in the LJBF zone.

and why are you even thinking about a girl saying no anyway? just assume she'll say yes and you won't have to worry!
