Just in general. Do you think it would only be appropriate after encountering stink, vs pre-emptively as a heads up? I haven't gone down on a woman before but I want to. This is the only issue that has prevented me thus far. It seems it would be embarrassing on both sides if you go down and then stop due to stinkiness. But I suppose if she's clean to begin with, then it would not go over well if you asked her to wash.

I guess a good way to find out would be to finger her one night, then if your fingers aren't all stinky, you're good to go?

I think most guys think they need to do it every time they have sex, but that's just silly, probably from watching too much porn. But I guess it depends on the relationship.

Obviously after a few dates you probably wouldn't want to ask. But during that time frame she'll probably spend ample time and have great attention to detail while getting ready to go out with you. So then it shouldn't be an issue.

After enough sex there's no reason it should be an uncomforatable subject.

I have no problem telling my girl to hit the shower because I want to go down on her. Of course, at the same time, I've never been bothered by her scent after a day's work.
