asking a girl out

Is it a good idea to tell a girl,if you want to ask her out,this:
"If you answer this correctly i'll buy you coffee."
then you ask (she knows your name):
"What is my name?"
when she answers you say:
"OK so when and where will we meet?"
Is this good?

No not at all. To me it sounds a little like a line. I hate that it sounds wack.

I'll tell you what to do. I cut all of that bullsh!t out and I do the damn thing.

Example

Get eye contact and if she responds in a good mannor then shake her hand and introduce yourself.

Then compliment her on something that you like about her. Then get the number. It's like clock work for me.

Sometimes things seem funny until you say them. It's not really funny napolean, she knows your name already, where's the suprise? It's a good idea to try and be funny when you ask girls out, it's just this idea doesn't seem to work well.

For all I know you're a really funny dude, and you KNOW that when you say this it'll come out funny. It that case try it, then you can tell us "I told you so!"

It's just coffee, why not try "I'm going to treat you to a coffe tomorrow after work. I'll meet you at 5:30."

She'll either agree, decline but offer a day/time that works out better for her, or give you some line that tells you that her interest level isn't very high.

Either way, you'll know exactly where you stand.
