Asked her out today

So today i finally asked the girl out who i was talking to for a while. I first started talking about how we both had free time after school, then my friend comes out of nowhere and starts playfully hitting me in the stomach (i believe he did this on purpose). So i backed away from him and her and i lost my confidence a bit, then she was walking out the door so i just touched her on the arm and i said kind of softly "i was thinking we could hang out next week after school". Then she said yeah, yeah, she'll check and see. We walked out the classroom and she said bye quickly and went the other way. Idk, i think most likely that was a no, so oh well. I wish i had asked her out more confidently like i planned to, until my friend came and messed my flow up. But i really tried to tell her a few jokes and make her laugh today so i think i did alright. What do you guys think about the situation??

hey i was thinking, if she does eventually make up an excuse to say no or something, i can alwasy say "its ok i'll just find someone else to hang with". Do you think this would be good, so i can let her know im not desperate for a date???

now she did say she would check.. IF the next day shes ignoring you or all weird she prolly doesnt want to hurt ur feelings or some shiet.. just drop it.. if u remind her of u asking her out itll become akward trust me
