Would it be a bad idea to ask your recent ex what you did to turn her off?

I would think it be a good way to improve myself for future relationships....the problem I think for me would be getting brutal honesty since she would try not to "hurt my feelings".

Its only a bad idea if you want to get back with her at some point I'd say.

Waste of time though if you ask me.

As whatever turned her off to you may make another chick wild for you.

In hell. I'm Satan's lover.
You could, but how do you know it's you? You shouldn't assume right away that everything is your fault. The reason people do this with cold approaching is because the girl doesn't know them well enough to have bias. Although if you want to learn you can ask, however look between her words instead of taking them at face value.

But again, it probably isn't you! :)

She wanted someone who she saw better than you - it is the whole package!! You may have done nothing wrong but it is an upgrade in her eyes! This is why I say - a million times - you are merely the next pimp in line!!!! Don't get emotionally invested with hors - you'll always lose!!!

yes, it would be bad. Women don't know what they want, and if by some chance she's the exception, she probably still won't be honest with you

If you want to talk, talk to your friends. If you want a girl to like you, listen to her, ask questions, and act like you are on the edge of your seat.

Be better to post what happened here, ask us, and take some of the replies with a big pinch of salt.

And, as some of the guys have already said, it's false to assume it's your fault.

If (IF) you did something wrong it's likely you already know what it is. So why rehash what you already know? What would you accomplish? If you must spend time podering this question, you should do it alone. If you're honest with yourself and can't find any reasons, then she just wasn't your type and you didn't do anything, you just weren't compatable.

she's not likely to tell you the real reason even if you did ask her... would you tell an ex of yours????

it's a bad idea anyway.

you know deep down - move on.

She probably has no idea what the real reason is, she probably just wanted an upgrade and saw the greater potential for one if she was single, but, of course, she would never admit it.
