Extremely interesting find...researchers found Saccharin, a demonized artificial sweetener, that humans have consumed for over 100 years now may be a key component in overcoming antibiotic resistance...

Essentially it breaks down bacterial cell walls, disrupts DNA replication in bacteria cells and allows for the antibiotics to enter which then overwhelms its defenses.

It is thought to kill beneficial gut bacteria, so killing other bacteria isn't too much different.
Much easier to replace good gut bacteria via things like kefir, sauerkraut and sambucha than it is to get rid of antibiotic resistant bacteria.

In some cases it might actually be beneficial because you would get rid of all the bacteria and have a clean slate to replace it with the proper ones.
