are you flaming me because i think milk is good for you or are you flaming me because i have children?
i am sorry that you are so bitter about your own life that you must flame someone on a discussion board to get your kicks.
the title of this thread was is milk good or bad for you NOT milk sucks and if you don't agree we will pillage you.

when you are old with brittle bones and your doctor tells you that you have osteoporosis... i hope you will at least consider milk to be a little good for you.

how did we avoid osteoporosis before we started milking cows? cavemen had much more robust skeletal and muscular structures than present day humans

I didn't mean raw eggs in your cereal, I meant eggs (cooked or raw) on the side

I disagree. I think the hamster may have issues ingesting 15g of protein. I'd consult a doctor first.

Hamsters are a good source of protein? I think I just found a new meal to add to my diet.

-Yeah I couldn't be bothered typing a long argument.

Its amazing how ignorant people are of this subject.

I was talking to my Mom the other day and she got angry with me for saying milk is bad. I guess she takes it as a personal insult..like she raised her kids wrong or something.

Still, you cant deny the medical research, commercial milk is bad for your health!

It's hard to undo social programming..especially when those gotmilk? commercials were so memorable.

@ penkitten,

For your children's sake, I urge you to not force milk on them. If you are worried about calcium, there are many foods richer than milk in this nutrient

Sesame Seeds
Salmon
Tofu
Rhubarb
Sardines
Collard Greens
Spinach
Turnip Greens
Okra
White Beans
Baked Beans
Broccoli
Peas
Brussel Sprouts
Bok Choy
Almonds

If you are worried about Vitamin D, just make sure they get some sun every day and they will be fine!

Warboss Alex speaks the truth. People have just recently reached the average height they were before agriculture. The middle ages were the low point for the health of Europeans.

The hunter-gatherer diet tended to be more nutritious, and that of our ancestral tribes (10,000 or more years ago) is most likely still the diet to which our bodies are still adapted, given the time frame of evolution.

health experts and researchers are divided on whether or not we should consume animal milk
...Still divided. Not good enough for me. I respect your opinions but I sm just too biased. It takes more than an article on the internet to unprogram years of talk about the benafits of milk, not to mention drinking it everyday.

I just know too many perfectly healthy people who drink ****loads of milk. Not to mention the thought of never enjoying a perfectly chilled chocolate milkshake.

In any case I doubt people will stop drinking it. I mean people smoke, do drugs and drink alcahol don't they? Not I'm sure is a least a little bit less harmfull then these.

Oh and I almost forgot to mention the fact that one day scientist sad coffee and red wine are bad, the next day they are the cure for cancer.

No, most people will not stop drinking their chocolate fat ass shakes. Only the ones who are seeking exceptional health and don't want to be like the majority. And scientists are not the ones we listen to, because they are just about theory not practice! I will only listen to scientists who are also athletes or bodybuilders ect.

but how do u eat cereal without milk...

I agree with you there, just eat it sparingly. I'm restricting milk and cereal to only a few days per month now.

for every internet find about milk being bad, i can find one for milk being good.
if SCIENTISTS are still divided on it, then it has good and bad effects.
a person must choose for themselves instead of listening to some dude they don't know on the internet.
i stated that i am pro milk because the topic was "is milk good or bad for you" and the only people talking were the anti milk drinkers.
ty for standing up for milk, because some kid reading these forums will need both sides to the story before he marches in the kitchen and tells his mom he has decided not to drink milk anymore because some guy on the internet named blahblahx358 said it was wrong.

some people need milk more than others, especially when they are still developing their bones.
